  I've seen a 15 year old car for sale, immaculate, 2 owners, excellent MOT history, with no significant advisories ever and any have been sorted by the next MOT, but there's no service history or receipts. Does the condition and excellent MOT record negate the lack of service history?

  HI,  The coolant for my Polo should be G13 but this seems hard to find, most of it is G12+.  The G13 I have seen is either green or yellow and mine is pink.  The car was 2 years old when I bought it and I'm sure it's the original still in. Does anyone know if G12 would be ok to use?  Any advice welcome.  Thanks.

  Would like to own one of these unique cars. But they are getting old now and main dealers won’t have any to sell. What are the drawbacks if any and with my low mileage should I be considering a petrol . But I do like the low end torque the diesel profile usually provides.

  Car is just over a year old from new. I've noticed a warning sound recently which seems to indicate a frost (star) setting at 4 degrees C. Thought nothing of it as can't smell much at my age! Wife says there is an acrid smell in the cabin.

  One tyre currently losing approx 1lb per day ( measured over 3 days and averaged done three times ) I assume this is as a result of oxidisation.  The wheels are all nearly 8 years old.  I expect the wheel needs to be sealed.  Is it a sensible precaution to do all the wheels when the car is in the garage, or a waste of money ?

  My sister needs a largish estate car to replace her ageing Galaxy. Youngest daughter will be 17 in the summer and will need to drive. Additionally the vehicle needs to be able to transport 2 large dogs. Ideally diesel new and bought on PCP at £175-£225 per month with the old Galaxy (£1500?)

  24 hours after a routine service and MOT the VW dealer phones me to tell me that my auto gearbox oil should be changed, cost £180. Car is nearly six years old and milleage is 42000. Necessary or not?

  Many moons ago I used to carry quite a selection of tools in the boot on the chance that my old cars would break down. Socket set, screw drivers, spare spark plug, monkey wrench, foot pump etc. Nowadays I carry nothing except the spare wheel and jack. What tools do you guys now carry around?

  I have had this car from new, using a Nokia 6310i with Bluetooth.  Phone has packed up and need new with Bluetooth compatible with the BMW's. Have checked out the BMW site for compatability, but cannot enter my model year, possibly because it's too old?
