    The Herald 1200 has some patina from storage, but is effectively a new and unused car. The RF60 logbook shows only one taxation stamp and the details of its first lady owner. The V5C states one owner being the owner of the garage, which has owned since. It is a timewarp item, that has been in heated storage and looked after, covered in sheets. It comes without tax or MoT, and will need full recommissioning, as will all three.

    Besides that, there’s not much that makes it distinctive, aside from its HEMI V8 and the fact it once belonged to the President of the United States. According to the listing the car’s ‘title,’ which is like a V5C, was put into Obama’s name in 2004, and he used the car until he won the election in 2008. He was apparently criticised for driving around in a ‘gas-guzzling’ V8-powered machine, which goes some way towards explaining his next vehicle choice - a Ford Escape Hybrid.

It also comes with an 80-page, bound owner's file, original Bill of Sale (£5124.17), V5C, invoices, historic MoTs, and the original leather wallet with operating manuals, original warranty card, and wiring diagram. The boot of the car also contains the tool roll and jack, which is also finished in Azzuro Dino.

    Austin Sevens had a good day, with all five finding new homes. Two Chummys imported from New Zealand were on offer, one yet to be UK registered and one with a V5C sold for £9900 and £11,660 apiece. Of the two specials on offer, a barn-find that had last seen service in the 1950s made £6,160, due largely to its original Ulster bodywork And a superb 1929 special with pre-war history and Frazer-Nash style front axle made an estimate-busting £19,250.
  • Jaguars top the bill at Historics this weekend 28 Aug 2013 (News)
    The aluminium bodywork clothes full race-specification internals including a 375bhp dry sump racing powerplant - and with those all important FIA papers, it will undoubtedly be in demand. It comes with FIA Class GTS12 papers, Jaguar Heritage Certificate, UK V5C registration document, MoT test certificate and historic road fund license. Historics is pegging XKE 559 with an estimate of £150,000-£185,000. Other Jaguars on sale include two top-end E-type Series I Roadsters of 1964 vintage (£78,000-£90,000) and a further immaculate 1968 Series 1½ Roadster in Old English White (£66,000-£76,000).
  • Rare Citroen Mehari in Historics 18th May Classic Car Auction 13 Apr 2019 (News)
    This one arrived in February 1927 and was bodied by FIAT’s own ‘Railways Materials Department’, in Ashford, Kent. Recent improvement include new Triplex windscreens. Along with it current UK V5C registration document, this Fiat comes with two continuation buff log books from the 1950s and records that the car was first registered on 29th September 1927. Est £12,000 to £16,000. Sale at Mercedes Benz World, Brooklands, Weybridge on Saturday 18 th  May 2019.
  • 1946 Jaguar 3½ litre Mk IV at No Reserve in Historics Auction 10 May 2019 (News)
    More exciting to many, a 1988 Chevrolet C4 Corvette 6-speed manual. LHD this time. It comes with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate. A lot of car for No Reserve. Last, but not least (25 cars and motorbikes offered at No Reserve), a RHD 2001 Porsche 986 Boxster manual with 85,422 warranted miles (supported by invoices), new rear brake discs and pads last year, stainless steel exhaust and Pirelli P-Zero tyres.
  • Two Rare Mercedes-Benz 500Es in Historics 24th November Classic Car Auction 9 Nov 2018 (News)
    Finished in black with a black leather and fabric interior, it comes with an electric sunroof, electric windows, an original Becker stereo and twin air bags.  Supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate expiring in February 2019, the car comes with its book pack and a complete, fully stamped, service book. The car featured in the Italian magazine Auto d’Epoca and a copy is included in its history file.
