Three Lister Jaguars in Historics 19th May Classic Car Auction 15 May 2018 (News)
Lister Jaguars are classics you almost never see, so it’s extremely unusual that, like the number 47 bus, three should turn up at once. Sadly, they are a prized three-car collection from a deceased estate. The Darth Vadar-like 1994 Lister Storm in the main photo is one of only three road-going Lister Storms thought to exist. When built, the 7-litre V12 Jaguar-powered Storm was the fastest road-going car in the world, at 211mph, and was ticketed at an eye-watering £220,000. -

The car remained in Yorkshire until 1976 when it was purchased and moved to Glasgow. The owner’s aim was to restore the car when time and funds allowed. -

A Grand Monday: Jaguar XJ6, £750 21 Mar 2016 (News)
According to the advert, the car is, ‘Totally rust free and [the] bodywork is in excellent condition. No dents. No scrapes. No rust.’ We’d be wary of this because even while the exterior panels can look rust free, these cars can hide plenty of structural rot beneath that you might not find out about until it’s too late. -

Restored Austin Allegro Equippe makes £3600 at Brightwells auction 26 Nov 2014 (News)
Our favourite car of the sale – a 1966 Austin A35 van – went for £2300. That’s quite tempting when you see them at dealers for £3500. The other car that really caught our eye was a 1959 Austin-Healey ‘Frogeye’ Sprite, which smashed its meagre £1500 top estimate to go for £4400. -
