  On the M6 this avvy - a purple Triumph Stag.  What a beauty.  Brave driving it in snow - tyres quite skinny so the Stag hasn't much issue but I'd be nervous of somebody else sliding into it on the ice!

  When im driving or accelerating around 60-70ish my car will randomly pull back, I would describe the feeling as a quick tug backwards any ideas?

  During driving, whether it be around town or motorway a 'flat' spot occurs with a cloud of white smoke.......have tried an injector cleaner additive in the fuel but does not seem to have improved the situation......any ideas anyone?

  I recently had my XF 12 month service at my local Jag dealership and was informed that the rear right tyre was on "amber"- the middle section of the tyre measuring 3mm. Is this normal after only 8,000 miles of light driving?

  After visiting my dealer today, I was advised there was a recall/change needed to be done to the rear of the car.  It's not dangerous to drive the car (quoting my service manager)  I would check with your dealer if it applies to your IX35.

  I have a fiat brava 1.4 (97) When I was driving the gears suddenly refused to go into first or second. The clutch pedal went very heavy.   Any ideas as to what it could be.  The master cylinder and slave cylinder are not leaking.

  i parked opposite my neighbours drive last night he has a h bar marking along his dropped kurb, this morning there was a note on my car from him saying not to park there...Am i allowed to park there??

  I have an auto: when going down hill with no power on the gearbox snatches Normal driving not so bad but still a slight snatch.

  You are driving down the road someone just has to overtake even though its probably not safe,they get in front of you and they brake and look, they have at least one brake bulb out. Just an observation i see all the time.

  So following HJ's defence of tailgating truckers (Motoring Sat 24th May), how many motorists are willing to drive over their indicated speed in a contra-flow and risk being zapped by a gatso or get squashed by a 40 ton truck? hmmm tough choice eh?

  when i drive it, it needs to be revved or it keeps jumping and missing, its been like this for a while, didn't know if it needs a service or could be a common problem.

  Is it me, or is the general standard of driving getting worse? On my way into Leeds today revealed impressive tailgating on the M62 in the snow, and in Leeds itself as I stopped to let someone across a zebra crossing, I was overtaken by a white van, who nearly squashed the girl crossing the road!

  Now, all things considered - depreciation, fuel costs, servicing, spares/parts, tax, insurance - what's the cheapest car to run that you could buy for £3k to £4k that is actually a car (drives well) and not a tin boxon wheels?
