volkswagen polo 99V - Car pulling back when accelerating - MickyG78

When im driving or accelerating around 60-70ish my car will randomly pull back, I would describe the feeling as a quick tug backwards any ideas?

Sounds as though the engine is loosing power, petrol or diesel?

Its a petrol 1.4L.
