once warm it starts ok - it drives as normal with good mpg - it's had injectors checked/cleaned then re programed, heater plugs checked, new starter, new sensors, tappets set, fuel tank cleaned (seems to start slightly better with more fuel in tank), dmf seems quiet. I want my car back so any help greatly appreciated ! ps it's a 2004 115ps tdci fully serviced cheers phil -

Just been told i have to have car allowance now when i change. I dó 50,000 miles a yr and apprx 5000 private miles. I have a fuel card. Dó i have to pay my own insurance with car allowance? Ive done all the stuff, cashaft slot correct, pin in the pump and pin in for crank but no matter what she refuses to run, there is fuel at the injectors by the tanker load but she will only run on the naughty gas. Im beginning to think maybe there is a "coding" problem but if the immobiliser was not seeing the Bosch pump surely there would be no fuel up to the injectors??? -

I'm very suspicious that the nut in question would suddenly be loose after a service, especially when they had trouble fitting the fuel filter. I've never had trouble with the fuel system before. Needless to say there's diesel all over the engine. What's the best way to get the engine cleaned? Is a steam clean recommended these days? -

hi, can anyone help with my 1999 s reg megane 1400 the car was fine till this morning when it wouldnt start the red light above the dash is flshing rapidly when the ignition is on the engine turns over but wont start, got a good spark but dont think the fuel injectors are working as the pump primes but no fuel i think the immobiliser cuts out the injectors i have been told there is a 4 digit code on key fob and a printed circuit in the interior light in the headlining, but there is no circuit and i have been told if its a pear shape key fob its an 8 digit code and not sure if it has to go to renault any advise would be appreciated -

Should add that I am wanting to save some cash on running costs so perhaps my first point is academic! Also been looking at the 1.6 focus, but dont think that its much better on fuel than my 2 litre, so apart from being newer, not much advantage. I do fancy the diesel 1.6 but being put off by all the horror stories on net about impending large bills from failing turbo, injectors, fuel pump, dmf, etc!!!! -
