MX5 MK1 1.6 Power steering pipe 22 Aug 2005 (Forum)
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement at a more reasonable cost than the dealer (over £100). I've read that sometimes importing the parts can be cheaper. Thanks Mark -

After posting on the 'I have a question thread' [important email virus bit at the bottom, advise people to read] I got the above error message? Have I hacked into a secret world of HonestJohn? Or should I just go to bed? ;-) Kev [Going back to uni tomorrow, so au revoir for a while] -
Car Supermarkets - Good or Bad? 29 Jul 2003 (Forum)
I understand you cant test drive the car, and haggling is pretty much not available (given that they have low prices anyway). I've also heard of cars being imports without paperwork, or dents etc, but I wondered if they get a raw deal? -
Nissan Owners - Useful website 3 Jul 2003 (Forum)
It would seem that some overseas vehicle importers actually make good use of the internet. Nissan South Africa have an on-line illustrated parts catalogue for Nissan vehicles: http://www.nissan.co.za Then click on \"Owning\" then on \"Parts\". -
The People's Champion 2 Oct 2002 (Forum)
Caught an item on the radio to-day where Red Ken got a taxi from the Labour Party Conference (I think, didn't get it all) back to London at a cost of £240, the tab to be picked up by London's taxpayers. Seems he couldn't use public transport as he was in a hurry to attend "Some Important Meetings". That's all right then. -

Buying car from dealer - help! 25 Oct 2009 (Forum)
Also if it is an import is this also a no no with regards to a future sale? Do you reckon I am being paranoid about all this or should I stay clear. The HPI check came up with no finance owed / or having being written off. -

A tale of three cars. 3 Feb 2007 (Forum)
In response to an earlier posting on the Auris - reliability IS important but not ALL-important. In 1977 I bought a Fiat 128 3P. It was great fun to drive with an eager engine and sharp handling and I enjoyed every trip. Trouble was it had lousy paintwork and rusted prematurely and was none too dependable (the clutch cable snapped at 15,000 miles and the driver's seat upholstery parted company with the frame). -
Advice needed re rogue selling 16 Mar 2004 (Forum)
All My girlfriend has just discovered that the used Mercedes she purchased from a UK Mercedes Benz dealership was an import and that it is worth approx £3k less than an equivalent UK car. She was never told this at the point of purchase and none of her sales documenetation states it either. Indeed, the M-B HPI Check doesn't even mention it ??!! -
Dangerous driving thread 14 Jan 2023 (Forum)
Following a concern a member had, I contacted the OP and reiterated the importance of speaking to a solicitor. During that conversation she confirmed she would like the thread removed. Thanks to all who provided advice but it's now for a solicitor to get involved. I'm sure we all wish the OP the best outcome and hopefully we will get an update in due course. -

Citroen C3 Picasso - "Window Open" alarm 14 Sep 2016 (Forum)
I've noticed this in other cars but given this new C3 has electric windows in the rear I'm surprised that it's so easy for a passenger to leave a window open and me not notice and there's no alarm ... warnings for everything else go off constantly but not this most important thing ... am I missing something ? -
