  (When the time comes it'll be a new Dacia for me) Took the car in yesterday morning having heard an unusual noise which I thought might be a broken/missing exhaust bracket.  Good news, the bracket was fine. Bad news, needed new f+r o/s wheel bearings, plus rear pads and discs. Done in the day, total cost inc. VAT £320. Spoke to guy who'd actually done job - f/o/s bearing was completely shot (shown) so well worth having done. I thought that the cost was entirely reasonable.

  There are two categories: a) Those who stop at the side of the road and leave the o/s car door open in traffic coming, forcing the traffic to give it a wide berth or stop if there's something coming the other way.
