  I cannot believe that in the 21st century with crumple zones and airbags etc we still allow people to drive around with a chunk of iron sticking out of the back of their vehicle. You may as well go back to steel bumpers.

  I have just bought a new Honda CR-V and was told by the dealer that because it has HID lights it does not need beam deflectors for driving on the continent.  Sounds a bit odd to me.  Is he correct?

  Random thought I had today, one thing I notice with the way most people drive turbo diesels is revving the nuts off the thing as if it was a petrol, rather than letting the torque do the work. (Short shifting) Any one else noticed this?

  I'm sure all motorists are aware of them, the new cylindrical cameras mounted on pods, usually on main roads . What would happen if an insured and MOT'd but untaxed vehicle would drive underneath them ? A contact has posed the question - I promised to investigate .

  looking at 2003 models, 330i is an auto 330de is 6 speed manual. the 330d is the later 204bhp engine. Any owners opinions? whats faster in the real world? whats better to drive? thanks
