Keep Mother sweet 1 Oct 2023 (Forum)
I found it dull to pilot and thought the ride was overly firm, especially considering it was utterly joyless to drive. I’ve now had cause to borrow it for a day while old Terrance the Toyota is in for new rear brake pipes for his Mot. The newer car is however a much better little car all round. It’s a little bigger and the interior space noticeably improved, especially the boot. -
Honda Jazz - Rear Ended at a Roundabout 12 Jun 2015 (Forum)
In Nov 2014, (at about 8pm at night) I was driving my husbands car. I was on my way home when I was waiting at a roundabout, because a car was coming from my right. A young guy about 19 years old driving a Vauxhall Astra slammed into the back of my car. My 6 year old child was in the back and started wailing immediately. -

Best buy for £20k 31 Jul 2003 (Forum)
Having just opted out of the good old company car, I've got £20k to spend on a new, ex-demo or car supermarket car. I do 40000 miles per year, mainly motorway and A-Road. I will be keeping the car for 3 years/120000 miles (ouch!). Running and purchase costs will be funded by employer's car allowance, the ususal 12p per mile for fuel, plus tax relief etc. -
High depreciation car 31 Jan 2003 (Forum)
What is the cheapest way of running a 1yr old car with relatively high depreciation and looking to change in 2 or 3 years when the warranty is out? Say for example, a Citroen C5 diesel. I have looked and Personal Contract Hire and Personal Contract Purchase are similar prices to other cars that size, eg Laguna, Mondeo etc. -
Chrysler Grand Voyager 2000 2.5td - electrical faults and loss of power above 2000rpm 20 Mar 2017 (Forum)
(probably a fuse, I hope) The interior lights don't come on with the drivers door, all other doors work fine and the other electrical components of the drivers door work ok. So, thats it. Bring on the comments, I'm a big boy (an old fool more like) and can take it, although I do hope some will offer sensible advice, and no I won't accept "scrap it" Perhaps I should also add that I have always driven old bangers (never been able to afford anything remotely new), and in fact my old 3.3 was probably the best car I have ever had, and sadly this diesel, despite being half the mileage doesn't even come close.
