  While they're working at any given time either could be the driver.  They're caught by an average speed camera driving above the speed limit for their vehicle.  A NIP/S172 notice goes to their employer. Employer after all diligence cannot say with certainty who was driving, just that it would be one of Fred or George.

  I haven't bought a car for several years but have recently returned to the market. It seems to be a thing that before taking a car out for a test drive you have to sign an insurance agreement to indemnify the dealer for the first £000s of any damage caused to the car. When did this become a thing? So far I have declined to sign these documents and in every case the salesman has allowed me to take the car anyway!

  I need access from my drive 24/7 but am constantly having someone park their vehicle over my driveway which means I cannot get my car out. As there are no pavements eitherside of my drive, this means I can't have a dropped kerb installed as the drive is at the same level with the road.

  Hi guys, I have recently had the clutch and master cylinder changed on my c30 and although it’s lovely and smooth to change gear on normal roads, if I drive on the motorway for a while, the clutch pedal drops and gears are rock hard and very difficult to change for a good couple of miles once I come off of the motorway. After a while it goes back to normal and the clutch pedal comes up again… any thoughts?

  Toyota is too expensive and I can't seem to find any decent Kias or Hyundai models. I live in a city and have a baby. Most of the driving will be local but we will drive on the motorway (four hours or so) once a year.  I just read about the Suzuki Ignis and it seems to be a great little car that is also fun to drive. Any thoughts?

  I'm in the market for a new used car and have just viewed a 2013 40k Honda Jazz that drove beautifully and which has an exemplary Honda history.  I had an extended test drive of it and the only 'negative' (apart from its colour!) was a very occasional, momentary whiff of Hydrogen Sulphide if i opened the windows. I mean that 'bad egg' smell... I've never enecountered this in a car before.

  Hi: a friend of mine has a 2017 Peugeot 108 1.0-litre. Last week she experienced complete power failure while driving to work - managed to pull over safely and, after a short while, restart the car. Peugeot dealer says he can find nothing wrong and nothing is registering on the diagnostics, but she has lost faith in it.

  Hi there, I have just done a job on my 2008 S-Max 2.0 TDCi and am on the final part, fitting a new drive shaft retaining bolt. It fits a 13mm socket but my Haynes manual says torque to 80Nm + 90 degrees, and my eBay manual (seems to be a Ford one) says 45Nm + 80 degrees. Trying to do a ‘proper job’ so would appreciate any advice.

  Can anyone tell me why it is currently fashionable for about 30% of all cars to drive at night in perfect visibility with front fog lights blazing? Does it make the car go faster? Is it suggestive of a more agressive profile? Personally I am sick of it - especially when, like tonight, the idiot follows so closely that the fog lights disappear from the rear view mirror.

  Hi again, I changed cv joint on skoda superb 2009 2.0 tdi passenger side outer cv joint it was not easy so hammer was used any way i replaced it put it all back together now car wont drive in any gear and funny grinding noise coming from the shaft took it all apart again and checked everything all seemed ok?????????? Do u think i may have damaged the inner joint etc Advice please Regards Zhr1849
