Seems to affect Picassos from 2004." I have contacted Citroen UK but they say, sorry but we can't help since the car is more than 3 years old (it's 3 1/2 year old, 04 reg). Any ideas where I go from here? I wonder were honestjohn.co.uk got the information about the ECU problems from, would be useful to know? Thanks Eric

  • First-time MoT failure rates (2007) - article 16 Dec 2010 (Forum)
The article posted about this on the HJ homepage raises some interesting questions. I was astounded to read that, of the 580,754 three year old cars which failed their first MOT test, 271,567 failed on lighting/signalling - which as far as I can see basically means a blown bulb? What sort of numpty puts their car in for a test without first checking that all the bulbs work?

  • Dilema of options for buying a new/newish car 17 Feb 2008 (Forum)
Hoping for some advice for a situation I have never been in before. Background: My self employed wife is looking to get a new or newish car to replace her current car. We had a look around a few likely contenders and she is very keen on the BMW 1 series. She does about 8,000 business miles and 4,000 private miles a year. At the moment she claims 40p per mile back from her own business for this.
  • FIAT Punto (1994 - 1999) - 1998 - battery boost - help needed 17 Dec 2007 (Forum)
On re-installing the battery to the car the engine cranked over nicely but absolutly nothing from the engine-not even a try to fire up. I've got a sinking feeling here that the ECU has lost everything, ive heard of this battery thing that fits into the cig lighter, but thought a 10 year old car would be tolerant of a battery disconection-my 11 year old Hyundai Sonata gave no problems at all when i fitted a new battery last year.
