Had An Accident Today - Uninsured Pilloc 25 Apr 2006 (Forum)
Hello, Drving along in nose to tail traffic earlier today in my home city with the Mrs and daughter - a car ran into the rear bumper on our newish AudiS2. The fool had parked at a rightangle to the road in front of some close gates and as we passed, it started revesing slowly, we had to stop as it was stop start traffic - the guy crashed into our car and make it wobble and loud bang - the damage appeared hefty as its our car and cost us a lot, well a lot to us any way. -
Happy Blue's rental car blog 10 Jul 2016 (Forum)
Economy overall for about 1,000km has been 30mpg, which is not bad for a heavily laden, automatic, large petrol car being driven at speed and with a bike rack attached to the tail gate. I just know that the journey in the S-Max would have been no slower, more economical, more comfortable and probably safer. The PHEV version of the Outlander was on my radar for a short while. -
BMW X1, Mercedes GLA, Audi Q3 - X1 vs GLA vs Q3 8 Feb 2016 (Forum)
Standard kit also feels a little spa*** especially on the SE trim, you get auto lights/wipers, 17 inch alloys, rear parking sensors...think that's about it. Things like Sat Nav, Power Tail-gate, Cruise Control which are standard on newer cars are optional extras here. And the Panoramic sunroof costs about 1400£ (because you need to combine it with LED interior lights package!!!????) So, that's what I found on these 3 cars, from similar class. -

Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 2004 TDCi 130 boot release mechanism malfunction 26 Feb 2012 (Forum)
Without much option, I agreed and had to take it back today for them to fix. £100 later, I have a working tail gate release mechanism again. I can't fault the dealer. They replaced the part and it fixed the problem (maybe the previous random opening issue was a portent...). Crucially, I said I wanted the faulty part back (and I had marked it to make sure that they did in fact replace the unit like they said they had to - and they were honest, because I got back the marked part in the box that the new one had been in. -
Choosing an MPV 14 May 2007 (Forum)
Never liked that, and was surprised they kept that when they went to Mk II. Too ?mumsy? you simply see too many of them at the school gates. We wanted something a bit more distinctive. What else did we look at: Honda FRV, only seats 6, not really capable of taking 4 adult sized and two smaller ones regularly, just too small. Same with Fiat Multpla. -

At last his name is called and the treasured piece of plastic is in his hand. Time to go home. At the gate a vendor sells little plastic wallets for your licence. A red one for truck, bus and taxi drivers marked "Professional Driver" and a green one for the hoi-polloi marked "Unprofessional Driver". I buy William a green one; he is not amused.
