Silver van man? 1 Dec 2007 (Forum)
This week I've noticed some plain SILVER vans driving around, could this be the new white van man wanting max re-sale prices or larger companies wanting the same too? -- Its not what you drive, its how you drive it! :-) -

Vauxhall Corsa C (2000 - 2006) - Bringing Portuguese Corsa to UK 3 Nov 2009 (Forum)
Hello My dad owns a Corsa (4 years old) which he bought in Portugal, and it's still in Portugal. It's all legal there (registered there, insured, taxed, mechanical test etc). He wishes to drive it back to the UK. If he was foreign, he could drive it in the UK for 6 months without a problem, but because he's English we understand he can't even drive it home from the port because an English citizen can't drive a foreign plated car in England. -
A tale of two test drives 18 Sep 2009 (Forum)
After 10 minutes we were told that someone else had just gone out for a test drive in the Jazz and they didn't have another one available. We were told that they should only be a few minutes so we waited for another 10 before giving up and leaving. The following day we had arranged a test drive at the Skoda dealer so again we arrived at the time arranged and were met with the salesman who handed us the keys to a Fabia Greenline. -
Anyone who has done any "Driving Experiences"? 3 Aug 2009 (Forum)
Hi everyone, first post on the forums despite using the site so I hope no one has me down as a spammer despite my first post being a "request" Just as a start, I do love my cars and drive an imported Honda Integra DC5 (going to do a search in a minute to see if there is any posts on these) :) Anyway, one of the reasons I've been prompted to post is a slight request for anyone who has done any driving experiences that you can buy, such as Ferrari or other supercars, tank driving etc. -

Ananova: Man faces jail for driving tests fraud A serial driving test candidate who sat almost 150 tests on behalf of others was facing jail today. Adolphus Sorhaindo, 63, from Maida Vale, north London, ran a proxy driving test service on behalf of customers who knew they could not pass on their own. -
Driving Licence question (Mark) 3 Mar 2002 (Forum)
I once represented a diver (no "r" intended he had webbed feet) on a disq driving rap ("r" intended), He had an UK passport and a Middle East Licence, he produced this when stopped and although superficially entitled to drive failed a PNC check. DVLA will have a record of our UK driving entitlement (and in any endorsable prosecution this is always checked) so technically even though you can't find your UK licence you "have" a UK licence. -
Health and - Driving after Covid 19 30 Jul 2020 (Forum)
Earlier, when I resumed driving I noticed a lot of difference when moving from sunlight in to those lovely dense tree lined rural roads we have. I am quite sure that the more cautious approach to driving is helping with the fuel economy and MPG. -
Any EV/hybrid - EVs for an engaging drive 9 Jun 2020 (Forum)
Hi, Can anyone suggest an EV that is engaging / interesting to drive? It seems like a nightmare to go from a manual or fast auto ICE engined car to an EV, especially one with single pedal driving. I wouldn't mind so much if I could choose myself when to use electric or ICE for a hybrid. -
Any - Drive Away or Temporary One day Insurance Cover 5 Sep 2018 (Forum)
Can anyone reccomend or relate their experiences with Temporary car Insurance and the typical cost for a mature driver with a low risk car ( no accidents, convictions etc) Are there any car dealers that can offer some guidance ? The scenario is buying a low cost replacement car, a test drive of several; miles before deciding to make the purchase, pre purchase checks reveal it is Uninsured Current personal car insurance offers third party cover to drive any other vehicle provided it is currently insured by anothet owner, so if the askMID database says Un insured is there a commonly used soloution to prevent any offences being committed eg ( drive no insurance) thank you -

Skoda Superb SE 1.4 DSG - Test Drive Skoda Superb 18 Jun 2016 (Forum)
I am interested in a new Superb 1.4 DSG Petrol, SE trim. I have only been able to test drive a Diesel 2.0 DSG in SE L Executive trim. It seems that no local (100 mile radius) midlands dealers (and very few national) have anything other than Diesel SEL's for test drive. Problem is also that these SEL's have 18" wheels and adjustable suspension. -

Just a reminder folks The driving licence trap: 1.6m drivers at risk of £1,000 fine Here's another nice little earner for the DVLA. Over 1.6million drivers could be at risk of a £1,000 fine because the photograph on their driving licence has expired, a Freedom of Information request has revealed. -
