  Hi I'm thinking of getting a new Renault Clio. The engine types I'm considering are a 0.9L TCe 90BHP (3 Cylinders) and a 1.2L 16v 75BHP (4 Cylinders). The garage keeps saying that the 0.9L is the faster engine but when I test drove it the acceleration was slow and the car was maxing out at 70 mph.

  I have just been told I need a new engine for our Renault Master Ambulance Campervan. As it's a 1997 model, I've been told a reconditioned or rebuild of my engine is going to be easier & quicker than finding a 2nd hand engine somewhere. Does anyone have any recommendations for rebuilders/reconditioners?

  Hi my Renault has a bad misfire /hesitation as soon as it warms up ( it starts and ticks over fine ) had local garage check it over with analyser and it said rear lambda sensor fault..ok got one off ebay £25.00 fitted it still same problem..had garage re check it came up with same fault ( was advised to buy better quality sensor ) purchased another sensor fitted it still same problem..got garage to check again and it is coming up as rear lambda sensor fault ..not sure what to do now thinking maybe wiring fault from sensor to ecu !

  Hi Have recently replaced my original Renault wipers with new Renault wipers but experiencing a squawking noise from the driver side wiper when it starts to wipe (especially when screen is wet) There is also judder from both arms on the downsweep when screen is wet.

  Bought my renault last jan and the fiat garage (they told me they own renault dealership in another town) had lost the service history between the trade in and me buying it, they said when they come across it they will let me have it gulliable as i am i accepted this, as they assured that they had serviced it for years etc details all on their computer.

  i have a renault scenic 1.9dci (54) plate which is struggling to start, when started will not tick over and seems to be only running on 3 cylinders, at high revs it runs fine but when at low revs it cuts out and struggles to restart, any help would be most appreciated please

  just bought a renault clio for my son for his first car after one week the car has obtaind a power problem, on pulling away in first gear it will intermitantly loss all power and then pick again this will happen mostly pulling away at junctions, any body any ideas.

  Hi there, I have a Renault Clio with 48K on the clock and 6 years old. Manual says the timing belt should be changed at 72K or 5 years. Should I bother as in time it's due but not in mileage ? Not really wanting to spend out now if I can help it!!

  I have recently purchased a 1998 Renault Megane RT1.9 diesel.I bought it with the understanding that a new timing belt needed to be fitted..Every time i fit the new timing belt and turn the engine over the belt slips.Has anyone any ideas.Also does anyone know if a 1999 Clio 1.9 engine will fit into the above Megane.

  The Clio 1.6 8v K7M engine does not have hydraulic tappets though valve clearances are not scheduled for checking by Renault or Haynes, Haynes say check if noisy or if running symptoms suggest to do so. Car is fine though should the clearances be checked after eight years and 43,000 miles? Thanks.
