mondeo tdci - compensation 11 May 2014 (Forum)
so they done a bleed off test which revealed 3 faulty injectors after they quoted £200. per injector plus fitting i asked if i could source my own recon injectors this was ok with garage i sourced recons which garage fitted the car then failed to start they said recon injectors were faulty so they were returned to supplier they have said that the fuel in injectors had metallic contamination so warranty was void they say that fitter should of carried out a fuel test before saying i needed injectors? the garage say that they did carry out fuel test & no contamination found the supplier has now said as a act of goodwill they will repair contaminated injectors free of charge but will not accept any returns if contamination issue is not solved the garage now has the recon injectors back from supplier i visited the garage again 10/05/14 to find that the car is still not repaired they say they have not fitted recon injectors because they have now found metallic particles in fuel tank ? -

Renault Megane II (2002 - 2008) - 04 1.5 dci (80) Fuel pump 8 Jun 2012 (Forum)

BMW 3-Series E91 Touring (2005 - ) - Realistic fuel consumption for 318i 23 Jan 2012 (Forum)
One factor that may actually make the maths even more favorable is that in moving from a diesel to a petrol I benefit from the increasing difference in cost between the two fuels and the fact that for my business miles I will be able to claim 3p a mile more. All this assumes that the BMW Efficient Dynamics really do make the fuel consumption of the 318i only about 10% worse than my Diesel Focus in the real world. -
ford mondeo - Another dodgy mondeo tdci, wont start 24 Aug 2011 (Forum)
I just took a 2003 Mondeo tdci, 130bhp model in p/ex. It came as a non runner (kind of) with 2 sets of injectors and 2 HP fuel pumps. the car would tow off and run fairly smooth at low revs, anything over 2500 rpm and it would cut out and need towing / bumping again. Immediate thoughts are fueling issues. I sent both pumps and all injectors to a well respected bosch and delphi diesel specialist. -

2005 Mondeo TDCi (2.2) - Frozen Fuel Lines/Filter 23 Dec 2010 (Forum)
Both last week and this week (temperature below -10oC) when trying to open her up (past about 2000 revs) coil light will come on, she'll splutter, cough and die a death, although if I'm lucky she will go into limp mode and I may just be able to get home. I'm convinced it's frozen fuel lines or the filter as the exact same thing happened the other week and when the thaw set in and temperatures rose above freezing she was ok. Done the usual, that is keeping the fuel tank as full as possible, warming her up for at least 15-20 minutes first thing in the morning but this has not mad a difference. -
