  Hi, Sorry for my english. On may Peugeot 306 SR 1997 year 1.9 TD does not work a fuel pump. But I do not knowwhich pumps is fitting with mine engine. My Lucas pump DCP: R8444B584C; Serial: 046563APE; XUD110 Can you help me with that question? Engine is XUD9 TE/L.

  hi my 2005 zafira had a bang which i had repaired,nothing major just cosmetics,bumper radiator etc.it was running ok up untill then,then it would run then cut out and now it will not start at all.thers no fuel getting through and no spark at plugs,ive changed coil pack which made no differance at all.if anyone could help it would be very much appreciated thanks for reading.

     It seems the lady driving it had just borrowed it and succeeded in filling this petrol car with diesel.  The AA guy who was pumping the fuel out said she'd managed to get the large diesel nozzle far enough in to fill without spilling, quite an achievement, probably not appreciated by whoever she'd borrowed it from.

  Although when cold my astravan will start ,after a run it will only start after 30-40 secs cranking which cant be good for the starter or battery. I have added a fuel sytem cleaner and changed the crank sensor to no avail. Its as if it needs to self bleed but not to bad on initial start up. any thoughts.. thank Big Kev
• Citroen Xsara - Dashboard Stopped Working 1 Aug 2011 (Forum)
  The dashboard on my 2003 Xsara has stopped working whilst I was checking the fuel sendor unit due it not reading.  Does anybody know if this is supported by a fuse and where it is located before I start stripping the dashboard out? The Radio & Information panel illuminate with no problems and the swiches on the centre console illuminate when switching on the lights, seems to be confined to the dash panel.

  cananyone tell me anything on this subject on cold the engine starts fine but on idle the engine fault light comes on and there is a lack of power the rev counter drops, after warm up its fine runs perfect , i have been told it is the fuel pump o its way out , this problem seems to be getting worse

  Main dealer can find nothing wrong with diagnostics but acknowledges problem exists with the car.   Car also occasionally stalls when starting in reverse after a long run. Fuel filters checked and clean. Any ideas?

  1,my temp gauge has suddenly started to jump to hot from normal for a few seconds then back down to normal, i have changed the cht sensor but it still does it. 2, on switching off the engine i have noticed that the fuel & temp gauges both go down then suddenly flick back to halfway & stay there. any ideas? thanks steve.

  After some Googling, it seems that to be in the scheme, a garage has to buy specific lubricants/oils and fuel cleaners and if they don't, then they are not allowed into it.   Also does anyone have the proper service schedule for this car?   It appears the dealership also use "fuel system cleaner" at each service. Hmm nice lot of paraffin to contaminate the oil.

  hi i have a vw golf mk 3 which has had a alarm/fuel imbomuliser fitted to it before i got it the old owner(mate) had remote locking fobs for it but lost it, can u get a blank 1 and then programe it to work?? i have a little fob thing to turn it off/on in the center panle

  Being overseas, my current and previous cars invariably express their parsimony via the computer as litres consumed per 100km driven. Is there a simple formula for recalculating fuel consumption into mpg? I get there eventually but I tie myself in knots, first converting the litres into gallons, then calculating how many gallons I've used over 62 miles... etc. And is 8.6l/100km a decent figure for a BMW 335D?!

  i have a problem with my Audi revving up and down like its hunting for fuel and sometimes its really hard to start needing lots of throttle or needing none at all,it is running badly and not very economical,i have ordered a new air flow meter as that can cause this,any other suggestions?

  My question concerns a friends VW Minbus/transporter went in for a cam belt and water pump change all done well at local VW dealer, dealer then says EGR valve leaking, cost 350 GBP to correct. Know van drives perfectly well, no flat spots accelerates and decelerates cleanly and fuel mpg is fine. So are they trying it on? Rgds

  I was biggly in the notion of the VW DSG but am now a little apprehensive of it going wrong So an I30 Hyundai perhaps? Sommat Golf / Focus sized is plently What else is out there And what is real world fuel economy like??????????????????   on the old m62 today doing 70 mph in a fiat siecento 3rd lane no problem ,electric steering wooly as they are, when all of a sudden i lost all power,thinking cambelt gone out of fuel etc then realised my foot had come off the accelerator pedal as its only the size of half a crown anyone else ever had that dread feeling in a car only to find it was a false alarm? {Typo in header corrected}

  Not decided yet in which cars we'd travel but it will be interesting to know how long we can drive at a stretch [by rotating drivers of course]. Between petrol & diesel, which is more suitable for longer runs [not fuel wise]?

  i drive 120 mile a day on the motorway and was wondering what would the approx mpg be at 70mph with the following diesel engines, 1.3 ecoflex, 1.7cdti and 2.0 cdti? would the smaller engine struggle and use more fuel? anyone have any advice? thanks
