  • Smokey Citroen ZX diesel 9 Jun 2006 (Forum)
I've just had a look at a Citroen ZX 1.9D to buy and was dissappointed to see that the exhaust is puffing out black smoke when blipping the accelerator, it's not too dense but definitely not clean. The dealer who is selling it is going to get a year's ticket on it.

  • Citroen C5 - Citroen C5 2.0 Hdi engine failure 26 Sep 2014 (Forum)
Further, the previous services had all been done by Citroen dealers and I have done everything in accordance with the Citroen handbook. I would appreciate any advice on this, especially if anyone can shed any light on the timing issue and what to ask of Citroen when I deal with them again.

I'm hoping that I can draw on someone's knowledge of Citroens to help me identify and stop a mysterious, mechanical activity that my Citroen C2 1.6 GT carries out approximately 35 secods after the key is removed.  The best way to describe it is a "Click.....Click.
  • Citroen C4 - Citroen Refusing to carry out Recall repairs 21 Jun 2013 (Forum)
So I call the Citroen Service and they claim that the VIN is not listed and this car, despite having the same fault is not down for a recall. So I try to contact Head Office even written to Ms Jackson, Citreon’s top UK honcho and I have heard nothing.
  • Citroen C5 2006 1.8 LX - Citroen C5 - any advice good / bad / run away ? 20 Feb 2011 (Forum)
Now I have the impression that these Citroens were pretty much above par on build quality and reliability, it certainly seems well made. Should I drag her away from it and advise her to choose something less esoteric, or are they a decent bet for a couple of years ?
  • Citroen Ami, easy to park? 16 Jul 2022 (Forum)
So, if you are not familiar with it, the new Citroen Ami is a tiny electric town runabout. When I say tiny I mean a tad over 2.4m long and a tad under 1.4m wide. One would assume such a vehicle would be easy to park, but this YT video clip suggests otherwise (sadly we don't get to see the outcome).
  • Citroen C3 You! 17 Apr 2022 (Forum)
https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/new-cars/2022-04/entry-level-citroen-c3-plugs-gap-left-by-c1/ Apart from the silly name, this car is welcome as a cheap entry point for motorists who want new and regret the phasing out of the C1. No aircon though. Certainly worth a look in addition to the Sandero.

  • Citroen C5 - Clutch slip 4 Apr 2012 (Forum)
This may sound really stupid but I would like to hear from anybody with a premature clutch failure on Citroen/Peugeot, I am only interested in 2.0 HDI (138) on a six speed gearbox. My family owns four C5's and we have had to replace three of these due to weak diaphragm springs NOT due to wear. Please reply to clutchfailure@yahoo.co.uk
