Omega 2.5TD Doors won't open 18 Apr 2005 (Forum)
Can anyone help please. I took the battery off to recharge locked the doors. Now i can't get the doors open. i have gained entry through the boot but there seems to be some sort of deadlock on them. The bonnet release seems to be connected somehow and that won't open either. -

Focus electronic interference 12 May 2004 (Forum)
Sometimes experience 'electronic interference' which is again sometimes announced by the red ignition light coming on, then the central locking clicks as well as a small reduction in engine revs. The battery in the key has been replaced and the car is 3 yrs old with 22,000 miles. It has only been happening for approx 3 months and there is nothing else that appears to be wrong . Has anybody got any ideas what this can be or if it will get worse -

Improving lights on scooter 18 Mar 2004 (Forum)
I have thought of adding extra lights, but I cannot see where I can put them and am anxious they may drain the battery. What is on offer that will improve this? -
Radio Code missing 12 Aug 2003 (Forum)
Can i get the code from a central database somewhere ? If not, is the problem easier to deal with now while working than it would be after a flat battery ? Thanks in advance -
Nissan Primera Radio Code 18 Jul 2003 (Forum)
Bought it privately, nice people, everything there except that the radio code they noted from the previous owner is not correct. The problem is that the battery has just been replaced and the radio (Blaupunkt Nissan)is crying out for a code I do not have. Do I have to go to a Nissan dealer or is there a cheaper/quicker/better way? Thanks -

91 Astra 1.4i Merit 24 May 2003 (Forum)
It sounds alternator vicinity ish - is it safe to run with alternator drive belt removed (apart from obvious danger of discharging the battery) for fault finding purposes. If it is alternator bearings which I suspect is this a feasible DIY option? Cheers NormanB -

Omega remote (plip?) 25 Jan 2003 (Forum)
But sometimes it seems to work from quite a distance. Why? BOTH plips, remember, and one has a nearly new battery. (I presume the receiver is by the driver door somewhere.) -
Radio on with Ignition off 20 Jan 2003 (Forum)
I have a face off radio which I always remove when leaving the car, so there would be no fear of the battery draining (I hope). Thanks in advance.... -

Mazda 3 - Car not starting. Please Help! 10 Apr 2021 (Forum)
The car has a full service history and has literally just been through a full service and MOT. I had a new battery fitted around 3 months ago, so I know the battery is fine. So I was out yesterday at the park. I go to get in the park to come home, key goes in the ignition, all the dash lights come on as normal.....but then nothing. -
Vauxhall Vectra (1.8 i 16v LS 5dr) - Vectra C adlock icon -one key works, other doesn't 9 Nov 2015 (Forum)

Renault Clio II - Intermittenly refusing to start and cutting out 16 Aug 2011 (Forum)
Towards the end of June it began randomly refusing to fire, this problem worsened and in July i took it for a diagnostic which resulted in a new starter motor and crankshaft sensor. The car worked fine until the following morning when the battery died and kept dying after jumpstarting it. After taking it back to the garage they ran a few tests and said the battery wasnt holding its charge therefore I had a new battery. All was rosy until two weeks ago when the car decided to delay firing, followed by not firing, followed by not even turning over, the lights and windows etc still working fine. -
Effects of Stop-Start Systems on Engine Wear and B 20 Mar 2025 (Forum)
Does frequent engine restarting increase wear on critical components like the starter motor and crankshaft? Also, how does it impact battery lifespan, and are there specific maintenance tips to prolong system durability? Looking forward to your insights! -
Any - OBD test in the PRC 15 Dec 2024 (Forum)
So in order to force a BEV domestic market the authorities decided the end of ICE is now, forced ice sc***ping is on the move. Next year BEV will fail their inspections if batteries capacity fall under a certain threshold, and changing that on an EV will see it sc***ped too, madness. Insuring a driver from and back to airport 14 Jun 2024 (Forum)
A neighbour sometimes drives our car back from Heathrow and disconnects the battery, then a few weeks later reconnects it to drive back to the longstay pick-up area. Any thoughts on insurance, as the fee for just a couple of hours comprehensive cover on two different days has risen hugely. -
High mileage Tesla Model S 15 Apr 2024 (Forum)
v=wOFfKQ7SxEg"> Came upon this interesting clip from Fully Charged with Robert Llewellyn chatting to the (Australian) owner of a 2018 Tesla Model S which has done over 700,000km!. No, it isn't on its original battery, but the reason for the replacement wasn't because the original had degraded beyond being viable. No, it was replaced because a (software?) fault developed when it got to 666,666km!. Front pads needed doing at 460,000km............
