  For comparison, you can get an automatic Hyundai Getz or Kia Picanto with more or less the same spec for a bit under £8000 - and those come with a year's free insurance, 3 years servicing for £100 and a 5 year warranty. Of course, they cost a bit more to tax and run, but the economics are still on the side of the Korean cars, I think.

  The second is that the prolonged periods of regular driving have aggravted my sciatica and back probelms, particulaly in my clutch leg, so I was thinking I ought to get an automatic to help stop this. my probelm therefore is that i want a small, fuel econonic, cheap to buy (ie around £8k), automatic that doesnt look like a skip on wheels (as i have got used to my little luxuries like electric windows, heated windscreen and cd player). it would be a newish car (maybe 02 plate onwards) can anyone recommend such a car?

  the drivers door window, goes up on automatic and then as soon as it reaches the top of the cycle (i.e.fully closed) immediately comes back down again to fully open !! Is this a familiar fault and /or has someone suffered something similar.

  I am in similar situation to J500ANT in that i really need to change my car for an automatic, the only problem might be that i bought it new a year ago and it is on a 3 year PCP from Kia.   Hi, I have recently purchased this automatic car and it has a nasty habbit of stalling when I stop at lights. The idle speed looks to be around the 1,000 rpm ish. Does anyone have an idea what may be causing it ? Thanks Simon
