Insurance for 'weekend' car 21 Jan 2005 (Forum)
Anyway - does anyone know how I might be able to insure this additional car for sensible money? Obviously no classic car policy will cover it. I have full NCB on my other car (as wife does on hers) and I never made a claim on the classic car policy. Come to think of it, never claimed anything from anyone for a long time. -
Various - Honest John QA 6 Nov 2021 (Forum)
I've just looked at Dan Powell's reply about a garage charging 45ppm for depreciation on a faulty used car. He seems to think 45ppm is ok as it's the HMRC rate BUT that rate is for drivers using cars for work so has a large proportion of that 45pence per mile to cover fuel, insurance and tax. The depreciation element is only a fraction of 45p per mile but he doesn't even consider that. -
Any - 36 month warranty for buying online 28 Dec 2020 (Forum)
"Quote from an advert" As an incentive to purchase on-line and to give you added protection and confidence, we are including 36 months comprehensive warranty and 12 months breakdown cover free of charge for all purchases (with exception of TVR, Bentley and Aston Martin) made during lockdown. I have found this particular dealer to be very good and fair in the past, but is this a first for used car sales. -
Suzuki SX4 S-Cross 1.0 SZ-T uneven rear tyre wear 13 Aug 2019 (Forum)
My car was bought new in September 2017. Like some other owners, I noticed that both rear tyres were significantly worn on the outer edge. Following the car's recent 18,000-mile service my dealer obtained sanction from Suzuki to replace the rear axle beam and fit two new tyres - all covered by warranty and at no cost to myself. -

All makes - Maximum fuel efficiency speed 15 Nov 2012 (Forum)
Radio 2's homwork query today at 6.45pm was 'at what speed would a car cover a set distance using the least fuel?' The answer was rather flimsy, but apparently 52-56 mph [ignoring all the car variables etc]. Most time was spent waffling on about making sure the boot was empty and so forth. -

My turbo has died and I need to identify which turbo I need, the car is running and I need it so I can't strip out the original. The car is year 2000 and it's a light pressure turbo, the top plate covering the plugs is red and the engine number is B204EDM00Y037203. -
Ford Focus 2007 - Sudden leak in PS plus whirring sounds 1 Aug 2010 (Forum)
Today the car started making whining noise as I drove out the gate. It seems to be the PS system. There's a leak somewhere, oily fluid deposited on the belt and wheels and dripping onto the ground. Immediately parked the car up before more dmage is done. -

I tried to get up a slight ramp incline covered in fresh snow to get into my drive this morning and the cars front wheels started spinning like mad which I've never experienced before in any other car The only way I was able to get in was by digging the snow out of the way. -
