• Renault Clio II (2001 - 2007) - 05 1.2 16v - Hi revving 5 Feb 2021 (Forum)
  Hi, Anyone have any sugestions for a high revving engine on a 2005 1.2 16v Clio. Starts OK but idles at 3000+rpm. Runs OK (apart from 'Idle') and pulls OK Any suggestions greatfully received. Newgadgetman

  can anyone advise if they are reliable and how expensive to repair. exploring a more luxurious saloon to replace my Ford mondeo which broke frequently and wondering if this could be good for around 15 to 20k miles a year and likely to run from about 40k to 150k ish. also looking at mazda 6..dont like avensis and passat ok ish

  Neighbours daughter had car serviced and spark plugs were changed. Running rough, so neighbour investigated. Sparkplugs had not been tightened up. Garage deny all responsibility! Neighbour also changed rear offside wheel bearing, where daughter had been told it was a new gearbox required.

  engine started shaking and black smoke, got it home now will not start, put code reader showing no faults but a week ago it showed exhaust gas sensor , cleared that and was running fine, put a new battery on half an hour before it went wrong, where do i look,

  A non-drivrer asked ther neighbour if they could give them a lift this morning as they were concerned their bus for work would not run. The neighbour declined as they did not want to take the risk! Sounds they are sticking to off-roading over pavements and verges! Probably off the Xmas card list as well!

  helps the dealer use them to show Skoda, and hopefully get a resolution for you before the warranty runs out. might just be as simple as needing a software/firmware update.

  I have a 2015 Scirocco 2.0TDi with start stop function. I've read that it is recommended idling a turbo diesel for a few minutes after a long motorway run to avoid damaging the turbo but how does this work with the start stop facility kicking in automatically when coming to a stop on the off slip?

  since having a new cambelt and water pump fitted the garage cannot get my car to run properly. it is in limp home mode. they have rechecked the pump timing as that came up when a diagnostic was carried out. there does not appear to be anything wrong in the crankshaft sensor area either. is this a common problem on this engine.?

  Hi please help when the temp in the mornings is below freezing my kuga will not idle it starts then  cuts out if I keep the revs up for 5 mins it then idles fine and runs fine all day when temp is above freezing it starts  and idles fine

  When replacing the hydraulic steering pump and after topping up the reservoir with 4 litres of hydraulic fluid, will it be enough to start the engine and let it run the the fluid will circulate and the suspension will rise again ? Thanks Gordon

  Hi i have a 2007 Citreon Relay and i has developed a new fault, Over the past few days i has taken to no switching off with the kay, the only way to stop the engine running is to stall it in gear anyone got any ideas.

  I have a Varta 3 years old (OE) I cannot get it to more than 12.5v on a charger, or after a 50 mile daylight run.   (I understand that fully charged it should read 12.66v) I have checked the alternator and that is charging correctly. The car always starts with no hesitation even though this morning the reading was only 12.1v

  Having replaced an complete 2.2 engine, new turbo find the engine will not accelerate under load, it runs around ok in auto. But if you floor it the engine dies. No error codes, fuel pressure ok Completely lost now, hindsight should have scrapped it, but invested too much time , money and effort not to sort it.

  I've just got a corsa sxi 2002. She was starting ok & running ok. I went to start her & she's turning over,but won't start. The fuel gauge won't move off empty,got plenty of fuel. Also the mileage isn't been displayed.

  The Fiesta I bought in 2001 is now run by my daughter,  After having some work done on the car, she needed the code to reset the radio. The code I have used previously doesn't work.  Could anyone confirm the unlock code for radio serial # M082973?
