Subaru Legacy and Outback Petrol (2004 - 2009) - Door mirror/indication unit 15 Sep 2009 (Forum)
I had a small accident with a tree falling on my car and subsequently have a broken lens cover on the n/s door mirror indication unit. Will I have to replace the whole unit or can the window/lens be replaced. If replacing the whole door mirror is this a straightforward job? -
Ford mondeo- washer jet 26 May 2006 (Forum)
I investigated the cause and it turns out that the water in the rear seems to be collecting in the boot rather than washing the screen. Now would you expect this to be covered under warranty on a 16month old car? Ford seem to say no, I think its a design flaw. Anyone else had a similar issue? -
Nissan Almera gearbox 29 Dec 2005 (Forum)
The gearbox on SWMBO's 2000-reg Nissan Almera (1.4 petrol)has just packed in: 1. What would have caused it to go so soon? The car has covered 62,000 miles. 2. When replacing the gearbox, would it also be prudent to change the clutch? I'm wondering if changing the clutch while changing the gearbox would only add the price of a clutch to the total cost of the job? -
Heated front screen 1 Mar 2004 (Forum)
I have a ford scorpio with a tinted heated front screen, it is fitted as standard to the car. I have a small crack in the windscreen, if it failed the mot on this, would my fully comp insurance cover the replacement without effecting the no claims bonus. I know these screens are very expensive, only thing mentioned in the policy is the standard excess payment to replace the screen. anyone had to claim on these ? -

There were some yoofs hanging around my car last night (3AM). When I got into work this morning I noticed a 6inch scratch in the paintwork below the passenger door. The scratch was covered by a film of black grease so I am tempted to think it was not done last night. -
