Any - Analysis of Rechargeable Battery - Electric Cars 16 Jul 2014 (Forum)
Given that for every 10 kWh (units) of electricity made 'available for use' in our homes, the far distant, Midlands based fossil fuel (coal or natural gas) powered power station has to generate 37kWh of 'heat energy' then surely it makes much more economic and ecological sense for us to generate our own electricity as close to home as possible? -

Dacia Jogger - Small Turbo GDI engine 31 Jul 2024 (Forum)
One of the annoying stuff you don't want and #3 it's has a warranty that I wouldn't get with a second hand 7 seater at the price I paid. My question is what fuel to use. I've always used standard petrol and diesel fuel in run of them I'll family cars only using the super stuff in more spottier cars, but this being my first small turbo GDI engine car would it be beneficial to use the super petrol to help stop carbon build up on the valves etc. -
BMW125D - A couple of discussion topics 12 Nov 2020 (Forum)
It would make it easier for new drivers to have it the other way round surely? I like to look after my cars and use the premium fuels. Whether they are worth it I am not sure. Anyway, when I used the premium diesels I understand they contain additives and when I lift the fuel cap it states no additives. A contradiction? -

Hi guys i have the above veiechle on a 10 plate, just before xmas i was driving along it just cut out compleatly egnition comes on but engine wont crank, have had three mechanics look at it and all three sugested diffrent things, one said it was bsi unit send it away to be fixed nothing wrong with it,second said it was fuse box bought a new one for 235 quid its still the same,if power is put into the fuse box into fuse no 10 she then will crank and by doing this you can get reding on the computer that comes up with low fuel pressure, but surely low fuel pressure would not stop the engine from cranking!! Anybody had simelar problem and have any ideas of what this could be? Its a citeron dispatch 10 plate 1.6 hdi -
Audi RS 4 - Dealer selling dangerous cars. 14 Feb 2019 (Forum)
As part of the background research I am doing for my solicitor, I found a website showing a review on the same dealer that had been submitted by somebody unknown to me who bought a car from the same dealer at about the same time. This persons car had had a faulty fuel line repaired very badly. This caused diesel fuel to spurt out all over his hot engine. Once again the dealer denied responsibility. Given the very dangerous nature of the cars sold by this dealer, is it likely that the police might be interested ? -
Nissan X-trail v Audi e-tron - Are modern diesels greener than EVs? 12 Feb 2019 (Forum)
I think the Audi extra-ton might need to burn more fossil fuel for its energy than an X-trail does. What do scientifically educated backroomers think? (minimum 'O' or GCSE Physics C grade and above, please)
