  • Peugeot 407 - Power Steering Leak 25 Feb 2015 (Forum)
It is leaking out of the cap quite excessively and also it is starting to become very heavy when driving. I had tried to 'bleed it' as suggested on another thread by overfilling, turning to almost full lock, running engine etc and then test drive. This didn't solve anything as it is still gushing out the top of the cap.

  • Nissan x trail - Buying an x trail 1 Apr 2014 (Forum)
Hi guys I'm looking at buying a second hand x trail from roughly 2005. I'm torn between going for the petrol or diesel. I drive to work which is only ten mins each way in the winter, drive a couple of times midweek, maybe 20mole round trips and up to about 100miles at the weekend. What would suit me best, petrol or diesel?

hi, my mondeo is revving up to around 1500rpm on idling and then dropping back to just below 1000rpm in a constant cycle whether the engine is hot or cold. it also revs while driving and even if you are holding the accelerator at a certain position it will accelerate until you press the brake or clutch it. it is basically very dangerous for driving around but i have nothing else.

  • 1.8 Citroen Picasso - Citroen Picasso Slight Taping 6 Sep 2013 (Forum)
But if the car is revved slowly, and steady, it doesnt make the noise. You get the same noise when driving but only at slow speed and low revs, but will drive through it. It usually does it after 5 minutes of running. It has had a recent service. Any ideas please. thanks.

My vehicle has been caught in a mobile speed camera a few hundred yards from my home (49 in 40 alledgedly) however we genuingly cannot confirm if it was my wife or I that was driving we were moving equipment from home into my new office and must have made 20+ trips between us on this road. I could just accept the points and fine, but if it wasn't me driving am I not committing a more serious offence?
  • VW Golf MK 6 - Windscreen wiper size 4 Jul 2012 (Forum)
Apologies for being lazy and asking here rather than looking it up. I've got a left hand drive (European) VW Golf MK6 (1.6 TDi, Oct 2010). Are the front clip-on wiper blades identical to those on the UK right hand drive cars ?  I imagine that they are the same except that the longer and shorter one are swapped round.

  • Winter tyres - not needed 9 Dec 2011 (Forum)
If you know how to drive properly. That's not my opinion, but the opinion of someone who thinks that if you drive sensibly, you don't need them. It makes him reallly angry when people say you've got to spend £200 on another set of tyres.
