Volvo V40 - Volvo New 2.0l diesel reliability 7 Dec 2015 (Forum)
So I contacted Volvo assist to attend my vehicle at my home, which they did within an hour, and after 20minutes diagnosed the egr as at fault and booked it in with my prefered local dealer (Not the dealer I purchased from) the next day with a hire car arranged for me to use as a courtesy car. It took three days to repair my car when I went to collect it I was told by the service manager that my egr was fine and in actual fact it was my oil level to high, I slight comment about how I should be more careful topping up oil, before I cut him off and explained I did not top up my oil. -
Skoda Yeti - My third Yeti 22 Sep 2015 (Forum)
The KESSY system is proving a useful addition and my earlier comments regarding the options fitted to the Urban apply equally here. I again plan to run my winter tyres / 16” steel rims November to March. The new car is fitted with Pirelli P Zero Rosso’s, which seem a strange choice of tyre for such a car. -
What Are My Rights if I Buy a Duff Car? 9 May 2007 (Forum)
Anyway this has happened twice since, yesterday being the last time in my opinion as I have lost all faith in this car and have just had enough. I rang the dealer offering him a final opportunity to put right any faults and he has said "out of 1 month warranty not my problem so prove I have sold you a car not of satisfactory quality". -
Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 diesel - First 5 months of ownership 25 Feb 2012 (Forum)
Insurance is £480 for a 55 year old with max no claims. I don't know if that is a lot as I've had company cars for quite a while. On average, I cover about 18,000 to 20,000 business miles a year and around 7,000 private miles. I might end up doing quite a bit more business miles over the next 2 or 3 years so I was attracted to to the 5 year unlimited mileage warranty. -
Review Fiat Doblo 2002 JTD "the Fault-Master" 13 Apr 2010 (Forum)
Or it could have been that it used to cut out on corners leaving you with no power steering. It didn`t help perhaps that a group of us had to man-handle it across an Motorway carpark - to allow it`s immobiliser to stop being blocked by a nearby repeater mast. -
Part-exed a "clocked" car?!?! 1 Dec 2013 (Forum)
About 2 weeks ago I purchased a used car from an independent trader. Gave him v5, old MOTs, HPI (from when i bought the car), service book, all other paperwork etc, paid the £3500 difference in value and drove my new car home. -

I would love some advice as I am desperate. I purchased a Fiat 500 Multijet Lounge in 2008. The car worked fine until 2012 when, every month or so, the... -
Hyundai i40 tourer 1.7 active 115ps - Reliability/Economy/Maintenance 3 Jan 2018 (Forum)
I was also aware, having waited and watched many other drivers running these vehicles as town taxis for 18months, that the problems appear quite early in the car's life, and once the dealer gets the car in and does the fix, the problem seems to be cured. I am guessing there is maybe a known fault in production, but rather than doing a full recall, Hyundai are waiting for the cars to present with the problem, and then doing the fix. -

Honda Accord Tourer (2003 - 2008) - i-CTDi long term update 31 May 2008 (Forum)
Overall, I?ll be keeping the car after the PCP expires in Dec, but I?ll be getting an aftermarket warranty and switching to an indie for servicing. Fingers crossed eh? -
Subaru Forester XT - Why do Subaru get such poor reviews? 4 Jan 2015 (Forum)
BTW, the situation in the USA is quite the opposite. Subaru generally sell over 40,000 cars a month and the Forester makes up over 13,000 of these per month! I think I read Subaru sales in the US rose last year by over 40% compared with the previous year. Are the British public obsessed with the badge on their car or what? -
Pug 206 XSi Various Probs 5 May 2005 (Forum)
The car is out of warranty, but are peugeot replacing these on request as they are in my opinion under engineered. The car has never suffered any impact frontal or otherwise, from looking at the passenger side unit, I think I could snap both the mountings just using the force it takes to replace the dust cover on the headlamp assembly. 2. -
150 k Miles in a Berlingo 31 May 2021 (Forum)
Nobody but me to blame for clutch, I’d been warned at service it was on its last legs. Alternator is a design thing – low set at front of car. Indy though reckoned it should have been capable of at least a temporary repair at roadside. It’s done last 10k miles in 9 months and we’re happily splitting long distance jobs between it and the newer car to keep latter’s mileage in bounds of warranty. -

Mazda - Main dealer taking the michael? 25 Dec 2009 (Forum)
Advice please regarding today?s puchase of a 06 reg 2005Mazda ..... Briefly, I bought the above car from a Mazda main dealer ( I will withhold the dealer?s details ) and I think the dealer has taken the michael--- and I would value BR?S comments. It?s an issue simply about excess mileage when I collected the vehicle today. -
Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 sri - Advice needed on problems with new car 11 Apr 2016 (Forum)
I have recorded all telephone conversations so far using an app for my phone so I have a record of exactly what was said and when, Sorry for the length of post and any advice is greatly appreciated as I don’t really know much about cars (enough to get by) and anything above is what I’ve learnt from researching forums the last few days. -
Mercedes Benz E-Class W211 (2002 - 2009) - E320CDI - Running Report 1 May 2009 (Forum)
Solid. The car feels solid and nothing has gone wrong with the body and fittings. Roomy. With the rear seats folded, there is 1950l of space. Very practical. Economy. The worst I've seen in haevy town use is late 20s mpg. -
Mazda Mazda 3 (2004 - 2009) - Piston-Slap Issue, Katano 1,600cc Petrol. 20 Mar 2008 (Forum)
I am aware that the 1,600cc engine used across the range can rattle, but the hammer on our car is entirely different and is a distinct knock, especially when pulling away cold (i.e. engine loaded). After much protesting and at my insistence, a Mazda UK specialist was sent to assess the noise while at the garage's premises.
