  • Toyota Prius plug in 2017 - Very quick review 7 Feb 2018 (Forum)
Plenty of kit: radar cruise, brake assist, lane departure warning (one to turn off if I knew how), reversing sensors and cameras, there are ample other buttons and warning symbols available! Over 15 miles and about an hour the computer stated 160mpg – only need for petrol was when defrosting and on one stretch of road which has a 60 limit and petrol cut in to aid acceleration.
  • Land Rover Discovery 2 - Fighting with insurance(HELP PLEASE) 25 Oct 2015 (Forum)
It took the front bumper, wing mirror, gash down the side. Its all repairable. This is what was sent from the gentleman who had a dash camera who stopped to help us(if you would like to view it please let me know) "You can see your Discovery joining the A45 at the previous roundabout and I follow both vehicles. The small DPD van that comes between us obscures the view a bit but if you step through a frame at a time you can actually see the point of contact.

  • Are motorists their own worst enemy? 31 Aug 2004 (Forum)
", "...demonstrators blocked the road for a total of eight hours...", "...since its installation last year the camera has caught 40,000 speeding motorists...". Where did it all go wrong? There was a time ? not that long ago, even ? when motoring in the UK was not just a means of getting from A to B, but was also something to be enjoyed; something we were allowed to enjoy.
  • Got pulled. 9 Apr 2003 (Forum)
All I can say its a good learning experience and it shows the value of having trained police officers in cars rather than fixed cameras. The cameras can't differentiate between fast and safe and fast and stupid. All the best folks and may you be as fortunate. Bill

  • Kia XCeed - Kia Xceed PHEV review 8 Oct 2021 (Forum)
I managed to get a First Edition model which has every conceivable option on it.To name a few it has a power tailgate, electric memory seats, sunroof, heated seats in the front and rear, heated steering wheel, cooled seats, digital dash board and every safety item such as blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, collision avoidance etc. It comes with front and rear parking sensors and camera and even parks itself!. I have installed a type 2 charger at my house and after plugging the car in,the charging takes approx 2 and half hours from empty to full and costs 45p per charge on cheap rate night time electricity. The car comes with an app on the phone to set charging times, lock and unlock the car and check various other thing remotely on the car.
  • Peugeot 2008 1.2 130 EAT6 Allure Premium - The first thousand miles 3 Jan 2020 (Forum)
Messy styling where the dash abuts the quarterlight, which I see is much improved in the new model. The reversing light is a bit dim - we'd trade the camera view on the touchscreen for a brighter one.  That's about it so far.  I'll do another mpg measurement in a year's time.
  • All rental vehicles - Car hire company toll fee scams 23 Dec 2015 (Forum)
These type of fines are charged to us without negotiation from the relevant authorities and we are unable to enter discussion with you or them about the fine itself. Unfortunately due to surveillance cameras it is rare any efforts with the fine issuer results in it being cancelled.  We do sympathise with you but can only follow procedure, please note some charges may or may not included additional fees to cover any extra charges we may incur therefore the rate being paid to us is higher.
  • big van! - reckless driving 25 Apr 2013 (Forum)
I only have 3 points on my licence for jumping a red light 2 years ago, and I am otherwise not a bad driver.  There were no witnesses but seeing as it was on a busy main road probably cameras somewhere. And please don't think I'm a  boy racer, just a bit rash at times, which I am now of course regretting as I don't want my insurance premium to put me out of business! Thanks for reading.
