  I recently had to call a breakdown company, who jump started my car, due to the battery going flat. I now can't get the radio to operate, nor will it display any information, on the screen above the radio. When I press the button, to activate the radio, I get the " Ford Audio " message, but it won't go any further.

  My recently aquired Mk3 Astra came with very little documentation. One thing it did come with was a radio handbook - but unfortunately for a completely different model! Currently the radio is working fine, but I can foresee a time in the future when the battery will become disconnected for whatever reason, and on reconnection I expect I will be challenged for a code to reactivate the radio.

  My daughter is hoping to inherit my wife's Fiesta Azura (1994)when she passes her test soon. Of course, she wants a CD/radio rather than the "pants" tape radio that is currently fitted. Makro have a Goodmans radio/CP/MP3 CD for a good price in this week's Makro Mail offers. How easy would it be to fit it myself? Would I need any additional wires/harnesses/whatever?

  Hi I have a 2006Ford Ka and after the battery went flat I needed to re-set the radio code. I followed your instructions, removing the radio from the dashboard & retrieving the serial number (M038488). The website you recommended gave the code as 1503.  My problem now is that the radio only has buttons 1-6 with which to input this code!

  Bought a  Philips radio/cassette  (SC 201) as the Corsa I bought last week didn't have one ! These radios have no display, so how do I tell when th unit is "live" and ready to enter the code? I presume there is a fuse somewhere controlling the supply to the radio that I need to trace?

  Having lost the security code for the original radio, we decided to replace it with a 'better' radio. It appears that, as far as the radio is concerned, there are 3 associated wires - the ground, the constant live and a 'switched' live that comes on with the ignition switch.

  It is still showing the incorrect code that he input. He left the radio on for a couple of hours and it didnt sort of reset itself after then. The unit is a plain big fascia'd radio cassette, I think its a Clarion but can't be certain. Any suggestions? Tony

  We have not got as far as putting in a code so have not had any attempts! Have left ignition and radio on for an hour - still no change. What am I doing wrong? It is a 51 1.0 club but he upgraded the radio cassette to a single CD.
• Radio not working - Fiat Punto 8 Jan 2004 (Forum)
  My son who has just collected his 1996 N reg Punto has found the radio cassette does not function properly. When turning the power on the radio plays but none of the related controls work. E.G cannot change stations,volume and tone contols do not work,station seeking buttons do not work-in fact all of them.It seems the radio is jammed/locked on one station.The cassette does play and fast forwards/rewinds but like the radio the volume and tone controls do not work.
