Swapping a UK driving license for an EU license 17 Oct 2020 (Forum)
I will soon be moving to the Netherlands and will be required to swap my UK driving license for an EU one. Does this make my UK license null and void? I still want to maintain a presence in the UK, and will keep a car there. Will I be able to drive in the UK and insure the car on an EU license? -

Ford Mondeo - Intelligent all wheel drive 10 Mar 2016 (Forum)
I saw an advertisement in the New Scientist magazine for an intelligent all wheel drive system for the Mondeo. When I looked at the Ford website to find out more about it, the website wasn't any help. When I type in the search term 'All Wheel Drive' the screen changes to the Transit van. -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-20739778 Reading on the BBC just now; a Swedish man has painted a portrait of himself and photographed it for use as his driving licence pic. The Swedish authorities were happy with it. This reminds me of the man in Austria who has a colander on his head in his driving licence photo....Pastafarian. -

Jail for fake driving test takers 22 Aug 2008 (Forum)
http://tinyurl.com/5afhuy If people are only now being threatened with jail, what was happening to them before given that they're putting people on the road who, presumably, aren't up to passing a driving test? Blimey! The ones who can't drive and have passed the test for themselves are bad enough! -
Free NY flights with a Scooby Test Drive 23 Mar 2007 (Forum)
Just had a letter through the door inviting me for a scooby test drive with the option a free return flight to New York if I take them up on the offer (of the test drive). Not sure what business sense that makes and hopefully it will not be a repeat of the Hoover debacle - I would not have thought so though with a company like Subaru. -

Tips for Defensive Driving 19 Jul 2011 (Forum)
A true defensive driver will choose a speed that would match traffic as close as possible without exceeding the limits of speed. Making these tips in mind while driving would ensure and give one a safety ride and would thus prevent accidents. Even if you want to know more about proper driving techniques you can enroll into various defensive driving courses in Texas which are available easily. -
Unlicenced Drivers 10 May 2008 (Forum)
We hear about the large number of drivers who are driving illegally, without a valid driving licence. I've never seen a break-down of the statistics but one assumes they are mostly people who have by-passed the test procedure altogether or drive while they have been disqualified for an offence. -
Driving other cars 6 Sep 2006 (Forum)
If this is the case, how is it different for me to drive the car with third party cover as opposed to the registered driver driving it with the like cover! I accept that the car is not covered and will need insurance to renew road tax in the future. I cannot keep the car in good condition stored off the road. -

Bora stops because the lights don't work 15 Apr 2005 (Forum)
Friend has Bora trouble again. Driving along the other day and engine management warning light comes on. Next thing a red notice saying STOP DRIVING. No indication of what it is. Being a good person she stops driving, phones the local VW agent who says "If it tells you to stop driving you should stop driving".
