  I am almost at the point of orderinhg a new Mini Cooper and I hope you can give me some advice before the heart takes over the brain. 1. What colour ...I fancy silver grey...what experience do others have / what does it look best in ? 2.I currently drive an Alfa 156 ( 3 years old )...some city but mostly weekends with some motorway.I walk to my office so no commuting.What's the mini like for motorway / B road driving. 3.Am I nuts to give up the Alfa for a much smaller car. 4.

  All new Mini's are being recalled to BMW's Oxford factory because of a design fault that could cause an explosion when the cars are being filled with fuel. Static electricity could cause a small spark when a petrol pump nozzle is inserted which could in turn ignite fuel vapour in a flash fire.
• Mini One r56 1.4 petrol - Alternator belt tensioner?! 5 Jul 2022 (Forum)
  My sons mini has a broken alternator belt. It doesn't have aircon and the belt just goes round two pulleys. Normally there is a tensioner at the top of the engine but there is simply nothing there and no visible means of tensioning the belt.

  Morning all Have a phantom passenger seatbelt warning light issue with a Mini Paceman. Advised it began following a valet, presumably from the usual 'on street' type outift. I haven't looked yet, but I assume they've knocked a plug under the seat, anybody had cause to look under there and reconnect one?

  Morning all I've had the timing chain replaced on my 2010 mini but it is now producing the following fault code: P0015 OBD-II Trouble Code: Camshaft Position B - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 1) It appears that the timing may have slipped due to the cheap locking tool used.

  My grandson, who is new driver, was behind a 10reg mini the other day. The mini braked suddenly to avoid a dog in the road and my grandson hit him in the rear. The dogs owner quickly gathered up his dog and put in his car and left the scene. The owner of the mini is now trying to privately claim £700 from my grandson.

  Evening guys, I own a 64 plate Mini Cooper SD, I'm looking for your thoughts on V Power diesel? I've noticed it's around 8p per litre more, is it worth it? If it provides better performance & more MPG then it would be worth it, but it appears there is a bit of an ongoing debate about whether or not it is actually worth it.

  Hi Does anyone know if there is a UK supplier of 4x4 style rear spare wheel carriers that would be suitable to fit to my mini cooper (BMW). I've seen them on cars in the USA but not sure if they are avaialble in the UK.  I have run flats on at the moment so no spare b ut it makes financial sense to change to nroal tyres and carry a spare.

  Last night I saw two different small cars approach different mini roundabouts, both turned right by cutting the corner and leaving the small central hump to the left of their car. There were no other vehicles at either roundabout. Is it me, or is this style of driving becoming more acceptable?

  I\'m looking at getting myself a new Mini. I can either get a regular Cooper, or stretch to a pretty poverty-spec Cooper S. Has anyone any idea how this will affect residuals. A/C is a £700 option and I\'m concerned that not having it will make it harder to shift a few years down the line.

  Having recently become a dad,and have the ever increasing need for space in my car,i've been looking into the mini mpv market ie zafira,piccaso,scenic etc,and for the life of me can't understand the concept of these vehicles as they offer no more space than a decent sized estate and are extremely dull to drive.

  My work colleague has her heart set on buying a Mini Cooper S. The only problem is paying for it! What is the best option for her: bank loan, hire purchase etc... and how does it all work as I am not too good on this! I have looked at the FAQs but don't think that anything covers the question.

  I have recently posted this in a different forum so you may have read this there. I recently purchased a Mini Cooper.  Not long after, I noticed that the engine oil was dropping significantly. I took it a mechanic who told me there is blue smoke when accelerating. He also said that this is a sign of the engine being worn out and either needing to be replaced a having a major overhaul.
• MINI Cooper and Cooper S - mini cooper camshaft sensor warranty refused 22 May 2013 (Forum)
  had a camshaft sensor fitted 10 months ago by main bmw dealerwhich has now failed. there is  a 2 year warranty on part. bmw mini refuse to relpace the part as they say there is rust on camshaft causing the failure. car is owned by wife and she drives 3000miles a year which they say has caused the rust on camshaft due to engine not getting hot enough.

  Hi, I'm leasing a car soon so have time to advertise my Mini Cooper d at my leisure. I've got a colleague who is going to store it at their business premesis so he can do test drives with prospective buyers( near to me so I can be present if necessary) I haven't sold a car for years so any tips or threads on the subject to read.

  i seem to be having a problem with my front head lights on a mini f reg bought some new head lamps but seem to be having trouble getting the new ones ie the plate that holds the light in seems to fall back an does not hold had to buy new head light as some one told me that the bulbs are in side the head light and are sealed units hope some one out there can help
