I have a recurrent fault on my 52 registered 1.4hdi c3. Over the past year on 3 occasions the fuel gauge starts to constantly flash. I read in the handbook that it is a warning to say water has been detected somewhere in the fuel system. By the time I manage to get it booked into the garage the flashing stops. -

Rover 220sdi air in fuel system 6 Jun 2003 (Forum)
I've recently been having problems starting my car which I believe to be due to air getting into the fuel system. The AA man who came out after I'd worn the battery down trying to start it remarked that there was no fuel in the filter and so he had to prime it. On priming it myself I notice that as soon as I stop pressing the priming bulb I see air being drawn back into the filter (at the outlet the other side of the bulb). -

Windfall tax just causing more fuel price rises? 31 May 2022 (Forum)
I noticed yesterday the fuel prices at my local Shell station were 173.9 and 184.9, but today they had gone up even higher to 175.9 and 186.9. It looks like the energy companies are trying to pass on the windfall tax to the consumers, rather than their share holders, what a surprise! -

Fuel brand boycotts 23 Jan 2011 (Forum)

Petrol station in Kensington £1.50 a litre - why? 2 Dec 2009 (Forum)
When I was in London I saw a petrol station called Eco Fuels it looks a bit grotty which was selling unleaded at £1.49p a litre it also seems really busy. Is this some kind of majic fuel? Most the fuel stations in London only seemed to be 2p more than what I pay in Manchester.
