  After reading on this forum about outragious prices charged by Ford for replacing the battery and reprogramming key fobs I took mine to my local Ford Agent and asked for a quote .Answer ?7.20 cent I asked is this the normal price ,answer yes its the Ford fixed price in Germany for this service.

  The remote control door lock on my Citroen Xantia only operates on rare occasions. Batteries in the key fob are new,and the light flashes when used, but the door lock rarely operates. I have been told that perhaps it needs to be re-programmed. Is this something I can do myself, or is there, perhaps, another reason why it will not operate.

  I got accosted by a Greek man with a Rover 400 with a flat battery last night. He asked me for Jump leads which I didn't have but I tried giving him a tow. Car turned over OK but wouldn't start. We decided it was the immobilser that was preventing it starting. Is it possible to bump start a car with an immobiliser, if so how?

  Having appeared and then disappeared shortly after, Jimny is apparently on its way back. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/battery-electric-suzuki-jimny-confirmed-europe Given that it’s extremely capable off road with a not particularly torquey 1.5 petrol engine, I’m guessing it’ll be almost unstoppable with a couple of electric motors.

  Have fitted Dash Cam to my previous vehicles & connected power via 'Cigarette lighter, now detailed as Power outlet.  Acquired a BMW to find power outlet is permanently live, dash cam fitted may run-down battery.  Remedy - Got a Auto Electrician to do job.  message sent for information.

  Just had a battery change & don’t have the radio code as was not given it when I bought the car. I’m aware I need a serial number to get a code when I press 1 & 6 it goes through a few numbers which are 06-02-06, CDKW8, 05-01-02 then some numbers after SWP.

  Seems if we are to believe the press that petrol and diesel cars will not be made or sold new after 2030. Electric cars are very expensive and I understand that the batteries need materials that are in short supply. I suppose by 2030 the electric cars will have longer range and may come down in price how can we generate enough power on the grid to cope with the demand?

  The engine turns but when it fires it struggles then stops, So far it has always started the second time. The only thing I'm sure of is that the battery is fine. Has anyone any ideas of what could cause this?

  Yesterday I opend the bonnet to do the usuel checks and saw how tiny the engin actuly is (lots of ancillary parts fill the engin bay) infact the battery actuly looks bigger than the engin.  Are they doing this by making cylinder walls thinner?

  It was working fine before I left it to my mechanic to do some work so I am guessing he removed the battery connections? Itll not go on at all so I can enter a code etc. Does anybody know what could be wrong?  thanks

  I have just bought my son an 03 plate Fiesta 1.4 Zetec. It has had a recent new battery and the radio/CD will not now work without the code. The manuals/paperwork supplied with the car do not record this. Ford want £25 to supply the code!! Does anyone have the keycode please? The radio serial no. is M038375.

  glow plug light on dash not working changed the relay and fuse 80 amp is fine  connect battery direct to glowplugs starts up fine what the box next to the relay under  drivers side panel where the relay is its got a cercuit board in it

  Hi, The battery in my 2004 Fiesta is in need of a change and need the keycode for the 4500 RDS EON radio. Car was 2nd hand and did not get a user handbook from seller. Serial number is M407620. Also is there a way of disabling the code entry completely, if so can someone provide the instructions ?

  When I leave my car for two weeks it just won't start. Battery is fine but it takes about five minutes before the car splutters into life. This has happened twice. All the time the car is driven regularly I have no problems. Any ideas?

   When I switch the engine off,  the engine cooling fan stops on and will not switch off until it drains the battery.  Can anyone advise what the fault could be?

  My radio shows Err in the display because afer the battery had been disconected someone has tried to rest the radio with the wrong code I think. Anyone know how to unlock the radio and get the correct code?   Dave
