  i am about to replace the engine in my fto 1.8 gs model was wondering when new engine is slotted in will it start ? or is there a certain procedure to follow for car to run?

  Honda engine.Car fails to start sometimes when warm, yet always starts from cold. Car does not stall when running. Any ideas chaps?.

  Well, It happemned three weeks ago, I misfuelled the Landie with a tenner's worth of petrol. Topped it up with Dieselt (a lot of it !) and all has been well, in fact it seems to run smoother ! Could happen to anyone !

  A quick question: If a set of ignition leads with a specified resistance of 5K Ohms, all increase to 6K Ohms would this be enough to stop the engine starting when cold, but perhaps keep a hot engine running? Thanks in advance

  if i try to go into 4th gear at 30mph the car judders, if i am doing 40mph no problem, does anyone know what might be causing this? car runs great otherwise 2002 model

  i have a M reg cavalier 2.0i which seems to have an idle problem. when started it runs @800rpm but after 2 mins jumps to about 1200-2000rpm, and feels like driving with the choke out. any ideas?

  Anyone see the diesel running on Vegetable oil on last nights TV show? It was great! The only modification required was to route the fuel line near some heat (provided by the cooling hoses) to thin the veggie oil a bit. Absolute genius.

  Have just been offered 25 litres of Morris 10 40 semi synthetic diesil oil for £43 from a stockist.Have been using Duckhams QXR, is this just as good ? I run a 306 turbo diesel.

  My Punto has a basic system (i.e. not "climate control") and seems to have no thermostat, so is there any objection to running the aircon while the heater is also on?

  Is it best to keep a battery on smart charge when the car is not in use to prolong the life, or is it better to just use the vehicle  and cycle the normal charge/run down process? In other words, do lead-acid batteries benefit from being worked?

  Sob.....aircon not working   No "clunk" when AC button pressed, no load on engine, fuse and relay changed. light comes on the AC switch   can low gas pressure stop compressor from running?   cheers
