  I bought a great little fiesta van last week everything worked perfect , but the old owner couldn't remember when it was last services , piece of mind told me to get it serviced and that's all great , but the garage must have disconnected my battery and now I've lost my radio , need a code but there's not one in my paperwork can someone please help M045710 is the serial number , any help much appreciated

  I am now driving C5 2.0 HDI the annoying feature is that after 20 minutes of listening to the radio without the engine running it shuts down to "economy mode".The only way to get the radio or accesories to power up again is to start the engine,then you get 10 minutes of radio.This feature is so that you do not flatten the battery, fair enough but it is silly that you have to start the car each time to turn the radio back on.Does anny one know of a way around this feature as its driving me nuts. -- rustbucket (the original)

  I have a 53 plate Rover 75 CDT with factory TV and sat nav. The audio function cannot be switched on. When I press the right hand knob on the radio, there is no response and the red light does not come on. TV can be switched on but no sound. I've since changed the whole TV unit and it is still the same. Is there another amplifier unit in the car to control the sound?

  Upon collecting my 02 Focus from the valet parking at Heathrow, my radio has suddenly stopped holding the FM stations? MW and LW work fine, but switch to FM and the preset stations will work for about 20 seconds and then lose tune, then if you scan it goes right round the dial until finally returning ?

  Hi hope someone can help I've got a 1.6 HDi SE 407 with the standard stereo in, This morning i turned the radio off by pressing the button, now it won't turn back on, I've still got the car phone through the speakers and it will take and eject CD's the display still works listing the air con and Date, but it just won't turn on.

  I have an original hillman minx radio in my car but unfortunately it doesnt seem to work, dont really want to take it out but I do need music. If i have another stereo put in elsewhere, is it simple to convert the car to accept it(positive/negitive issues)or is there somewhere you people might know where i can pick up good old fashioned stereo that works,which wont be too expensive which i can get for my little motor (local breakers yard no good).

  ...as fitted in my caravan has ceased to function. It's picking up radio stations okay - the display tells me which ones, and it's playing CDs okay too. Except no sound is coming out of the speakers. Only when the volume is would up fully do I get the faintest "click" on the speakers as I turn it off.

  Anyone help ? I have a 1994 Omega CDX with a standard radio which I want to upgrade with a CD player. Can anyone tell me how I get the old unit out?. I made an attempt at this operation the other day by inserting 4 suitably sized pins in the holes where the "extraction" tools would go.

  Can any serving police officers please explain why it is ok for you to drive on blue lights at excessive speed in built up areas with one hand on the wheel and the other using your radio? I witnessed this in Eastbourne the other day. Also, this was beatifully displayed on the recent BBC1 series on the Met Traffic where the in car camera showed the officer to be exceeding 80mph in an residential street chasing a white Sierra driven by a schoolboy.
