  In the pictures of the Ford in the classified section, I see a yellow and black 1/2 disc steering lock on the rear o/s passenger floor. Not sure I'm allowed to name it, though. Has anyone got one of these and the knowledge to say whether or not it's any good?

  Just coming in out of the snow and notived a 10cm long resistor hanging down from the F/O/S bumber of my MkIII Golf 1995. Clearly a bracket has corroded or something but what is the resistor for. Regards Peter.

  In the Executive, I see that you get an in-dash 6CD changer. Will this play MP3's? In the brochure it mentions an in-dash DVD/MP3 CD player as part of the video screen option for rear passengers (which I don't really want).

  All belts recently replaced on our L-reg Mitsubishi Chariot (import). But we keep having to go back to the garage because the belt(s) keep screeching, and the garage says Mitsubishi are (in)famous for this. Any suggestions I can pass on to them?

  Could anybody explain the principle behind the switchable 'overdrive' fitted to the Triumphs and others in the 60's? Was it an extra gear? If so why don't more manufacturers fit it - surely an effective way of lowering engine speed and thus improving MPG when cruising on motorways,etc.? P.
