Nice enough car, but very disappointed with quality of engineering.
Nice comfy car that feels well made. Great fuel economy, usually averages between 42 - 45 mpg. Noisy, unrefined engine.
Hasn't lived up to Toyota's reputation for longevity. Used lots of engine oil, then developed 'death rattle' at 87k miles, knackered it's big ends and threw a rod, even though there was plenty of oil in the car and the oil light never came on. Apparently quite common. Deeply disappointed. View of Toyota changed forever.
My old 99 Mondeo has 170K on the clock and still running sweet. Am now contemplating a return to Ford, maybe Mondeo or Focus.
