Hybrid system work seemlessly

Upgraded from a 2017 1.0l Auto to the new 1.5 hybrid, it took 5 months from order to delivery.
I was a bit worried about the Auto box having read some of the reviews, but unless you are accelerating hard it works as well as a standard auto box but gear changes are only more noticeable under hard acceleration.
The engine is definitley louder than the old car when accelerating hard, but for normal driving its just as quiet, in fact so hushed that when the engine cuts out and it goes into hybrid mode you can only tell by the rev counter.
Fuel economy is noticeably better when doing normal driving under 60mph or less, getting over 50mpg consistently is easy, but the car is not as good on motorways or dual carriageways, when the engine is louder at high speed and the fuel consumption drops due to the extra weight of the car. Set it in cruise control at 70mph and the enging has to change down 2 gears and rev quite hard to keep the speed up when going uphill.
I love the sun roof, it makes the car seem much more airy and the 360 camera is a great aid, also having the front and side cameras when parking really help when you need to be close. Disappointed that the Apple car play its wireless, but for Android Auto you need to plug the phone into a usb cable. Suzuki connect also works well, although I suspect this is a gimmick I probably wont bother to pay for it after the 3 years are up. I like that you can upgrade your warranty to 7 years for free as long as you have the vehicle serviced at a Suzuki dealer, with the high specification its peace of mind. Service plan for 3 years, 3 services is £26 a month. I have now done just over 1,000 miles and its great in all conditions 60mph and under, and comfortable, its big downfall is the enging is very underpowered on motorways, plenty powerful enough on A roads and around town, but lacks torque and has to work very hard at higher speeds, Verdict is its a great car if you only do occasional motorway journeys, but if you use motorways regually then you should opt for a car with a bit more power.
