Practical left field family hatchback

My first Subaru after years of Toyota hatchbacks, and I am converted. I have the manual transmission, and although the engine needs to be revved, it is responsive and quick enough for a family car. Lots of equipment - rear camera, heated seats, TPM, Android (but not iPhone) mirroring (new word) with voice control, heated wipers, rain sensor etc. No spare wheel, but found a space saver easy enough, although it takes up boot space. As you would expect, it sticks to the road like glue. Bullet proof build quality - no worries about braking down in the middle of nowhere. Look for a 4-5 yr., old manual and you can pick one up for under £10K.
