Good in parts

I was impressed with the performance and looks of the car but would not buy another. It has had a number of unscheduled trips to the dealer.
1. Rust on the roof. Peugeot didn't want to know fortunately the dealer (Hawkins at Penryn) stepped up and paid for the repair.
2. The rear axle had to be modified.
3. An ABS sensor failed.
4. One of the speakers is on its way out.

The 1.2 engine appears to have problems with the cam belt breaking up and clogging up the oil pathways. It also appears prone to carbon build up. As the result of a recent safety recall the service life of the cam belt has been drastically reduced. At £500 to replace it's a bitter pill to swallow particularly as the car has only done 26000 miles but it is coming up for six years old.

Whilst I am disappointed with the long term viability of the car it is a nice car.

I can not speak highly enough about the dealer who have dealt with any problems quickly and I've always felt a valued customer
