Overall reliability

comfortable to drive, reliable, but very plastic and easy to damage

I have owned Mitsubishi's before and looked forward to having another. Initially this one did not disappoint. It is a 4x4, it is higher up so offers a better view, it is reliable and has covered around 45k since I purchased it.
However, I was the victim of a hit and run in a car park and the damage my supposedly rugged 4x4 suffered was fairly extensive. It required a new front bumper, nudge bar, front passenger wing, and wheel arch inner. All this from a relatively low speed impact. It was when the damage was being assessed that I noticed that the result of good n cap tests is polystyrene behind bumpers and lots and of plastic. I recently noted that the repair had started to fail so took it back to the rather helpful garage and was told that it has been hit again. Turns out hitting water at speed had dislodged the wheel arch inner and split the plastic clips that hold it together. I will not be buying another.....
