Absolutely fantastic fun

After a looooong car search to replace my tired car ( corsa C ), I tried Alfa Mito, Polos, Sciroccos, Bravos, and eventually settled on this. I do 15000 miles a year and wanted something nearly new with a reliable brand that would pass MOT for years.

I am 24 years old been a big fan of cars since a young age, when this car was first released I used to draw pictures of it. never thought I would actually own one. To me it is one of the most beautifully styled cars of all time.

Having driven a lot of cars recently in my car search, the lancer was by far the best. Don't be fooled by photos the interior is in very stylish inside. The level of thought and engineering that went into it is incredible, and instruction manual couldn't be more thorough. Things that stood out are the automatic folding mirrors, rain sensor and automatic wipers, handleless bonnet, turning headlamps and heated seats. The car computer can play DVDs but only in neutral -_- safety first. The Computer also comes with a 40gb hard drive, the manual states the only way to record to it is through the CD drive, however I've read its possible to take the hard drive out and connect to a pc via USB.

Its only a 1.8 but performance is fantastic, I raced a quad bike this morning, on the motorway beamers moves out the way presuming its an EVO. I took it it 110 - it handles high speeds very well, very stable and reactive.

The only let down is the MPG which is nothing like the online combined figure of 37. I get 22-24 urban and 28 on the highways, I am not driving efficiently.

Styling is fantastic my mates love it, I got the cool silver model (different to standard silver) with trim and spoiler. In the end it cost less than the VW polos I was looking at (1.4, 2010, 15,000 miles). Very rare and manly, I have restored my rep after having a girly blue corsa for a year! It sounds the bomb and I love overtaking with that gorgeous engine note
