Unreliable with Extremely Poor After Sales Service and bad fuel economy

my second mini in a year replacing a 2013 Clubman which was totally reliable and economical. I covered 15,000 miles in 6 months before getting rid of this car. it was off the road for 10 days in that time. the Driver assistant randomly saw 'ghost' collisions on the motorway and slammed on the brakes - dealer could not find fault. fuel consumption averaged 55mpg as opposed to my older car which did 57mpg all day long. final straw was a breakdown requiring a new steering assembly -car off road for 6 days(and no offer of a mini - in a Vauxhall rental0 as no parts in UK!!! Car returned with bodywork damage caused whilst out of my custody - no dispute over that but much infighting as to who should pay the bill. BMW customer service as useful as a chocolate teapot. Car eventually repaired following threat of small claims action. Appalling Customer service. Car sold following week and now driving Mercedes. enough said
