Great Car. Shame Lexus No Longer Import It Into The UK

I have owned three Lexus IS models over the years. The first was the old 250 V6 model and they have each been very reliable, comfortable and better equipped than their German rivals. Other cars I owned before the Lexus included Jaguars , a Saab (sadly missed make) and various others.

With a Lexus I find I tend to have a more relaxed way of driving although if needed the car can be quick such as when overtaking or if I choose Sport mode. Being a hybrid it is very economic and living in the south-east where we tend to spend a lot of time stuck in slow moving traffic it is a good car to drive.

I get a little bit fed up with people trotting out the usual nonsense about BMWs and Audis being more exciting to drive. Let's be honest few of us drive like Jeremy Clarkson on a daily basis. The snob appeal of those makes of cars and their image also puts me off ever wanting to own one. I did take a test drive in BMW 325 and was puzzled why it is considered the "ultimate driving machine". It was also ridiculously expensive when you added on all the extra and costly options which come as standard with a Lexus.

Its a shame Lexus no longer import the IS into Europe as not all of us want to drive a SUV and the ES is not the same type of car (its bigger than the IS and front wheel drive).
