1.6 CRDi GS 5dr Hatchback

Very good value

£9000 for a car 11 months old, I consider very good value. I bought it because I needed a larger car than my Polo. Choose this one because of the long warranty and it is a lot of car for the money.
If it proves itself reliable over time then I won't hesitate to get another. One point is that if you live in a hilly area, then you will need the higher power version - mine is the 89 BHP and is painful on some of my local hills. You can find yourself with the car screaming in second gear and then dieing in third. This I think is partly due to the long gearing which would normally help fuel consumption. This also means that you have to drive it hard if you want to get moving in a rush. #see update below#

Pro's.
Good value, good fuel economy, nice drive - handles lovely, lots of features as standard, long warranty.

Cons.
89BHP is too low powered for hills. Fuel economy falls off at higher speeds, some of the external panels feel a bit thin and cheap.

###Update###
The issue with low power turned out to be the turbo controller. Fixed on warranty. Now a great car to drive.
