Overall reliability

Absolute Cracking Car - solid, reliable car that I enjoy every day!

Initially looked at used German SUV's, then came across Santa Fe. For same money I wanted to spend realised I could buy a brand new car with 5 year warranty rather than 3/4 year old German one. Also I liked the new styling, at the time definitely stood out from the crowd.

The main overriding feeling with this car is confidence, its just so reliable. I have had this car nearly 6 years and not one issue, it just goes and goes - No wonder they give you the 5 year warranty!

The car is robust, the interior has worn well with plenty of space and comfortable. The whole family likes it with good boot space which is great for the Uni runs.

Is the car perfect, no. The drive is a little spongy, however I enjoy driving it and always feel in control. The fuel economy is not great, just about getting 35 mpg but I don't do enough miles to make this an issue. The interior is good but not amazing. It does not feel as plush as a Land Rover or German alternative, however after 6 years it still looks good inside and everything still works perfectly.

The servicing costs are just amazing, every year it has cost me less than I thought it would - even the last 5 year service.

The biggest issue I have with the car - I cannot justify replacing it. It still looks good vs other models, everything works, its reliable and maintenance costs are just so low!
