Very useful vehicle, especially in adverse weather

Ive owned the 2006 model 2.2 148bhp diesel cdx for nearly 2 years. I bought the vehicle with 85,000 miles on the records and have since put another 20,000 miles onto it. It hasnt given me any significant trouble in that time. 4 new tyres (michelin cross climate all seasons- with this vehicles 4 wheel drive making the car very effective in snow and cold heavy rain)
I average about 30 mpg around town and 40+ at motorway speeds. It is supremely comfortable and quiet on the move with little wind or road noise transmitted into the passenger compartment.
Seats are all leather on cdx and are heated up front which is a useful function for winter. Plenty of adjustments on the seats both passenger and driver to get comfortable.
Cd auto changer/ radio is old technology now and isnt particularly great quality in terms of sound or radio reception. If it troubled me I would swap it out for a DAB / CD/ MP3 ingotainment system but it doesnt really annoy me enough to justify the expense.
The boot on this car is huge. Probably only 2nd in size to a range rover of land cruiser amazon. It is that big I can go away for a week with my family and still not need to put any luggage or oddiments into the passenger seating area.

If you need a real 4x4 then this car can and does do light off roading. Ive taken it down muddy forestry tracks, across fields in winter and down coutry lanes covered with 4-5 inches of snow. With decent tyres like the cross climate suvs my santa fe gives me confidence that im not going to get stuck.
Ive even rescued and towed cars broken down in 40cm deep flood waters. Considering I bought the car for £3.6k its been a bargain.
My wife and sons love it too. Next car....its going to be another Santa Fe.
