Fantastic value for money

Bought the car new in Sept 2010 following a change of jobs which meant I no longer had the company Mondeo.
I did a lot of research via magazines, internet etc, and the Santa Fe increasingly looked like such a no brainer I visited the local dealer for a test drive. Having previously test driven the diesel Kuga, diesel Subaru Forester, X-trail and previously owned an X3 I had a good idea of what was on offer from the competition.
On the road the Santa Fe was far better than anything else with the exception of the X3. However at around 10k less, 2yrs more warranty and lower running costs the X3 was not worth the extra money.
I got a very good deal on the price having no trade in, and now having done around 4000 miles (mostly on A and B roads on the east coast of scotland) I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
Similar to your other reviewer friends and family have been stunned at just how good a car it really is.
As a result I am now an inverted badge snob, everytime I see someone in X3 / Land Rover or other overpriced SUV I feel quite pleased with myself for not wasting valuable cash on a badge that provides no guarantee of reliability.
