Excellent and worthy alternative to a VW Polo

Bought this 10month-old car from a main dealer, 10,000 on the clock. It replaced a 2003 Polo 1.2 we'd had from new. We test-drove most modern super-minis before we chose the Hyundai, and really it chose itself. It drives superbly well, far far better handling than our 03 Polo and still better than the improved 60 Polo we tried. It has plenty of toys - I think we'd have had to spend an extra £2.5K-£3K to get the same spec on a Polo. It seems very well made, feels solid, maybe not thrilling to look at but heck it's meant to be a work-horse. My wife is the main driver and she's thrilled with it.
It's worth looking for the Comfort version, the Classic is a bit basic.
Downsides? The ride is a bit hard one or two-up on the lousy roads where we live in Kent. And we can't seem to work the mpg above 45.0 on a good mixture of driving, but maybe that will improve.
Apart from those minor points, very pleased indeed with the car. I think it's better amongst its competition than the motoring press gives it credit for.
