The Worst Mistake of MY LIFE
THE POWER OF NIGHTMARES
I picked up my car on the 22.12.2015. It added Robust Pack, Design Pack, Rear Spoiler, Mats and Garnishes that came to £3000. The car was in the region of £31,000.
The Car Looked Amazing and the dealer was really good! Until......
The CRV had a complete electrical failure on the motorway on the 11.1.15. The circumstances were extremely dangerous (The car nearly killed my family and other road users) and the AA deemed the car to dangerous to drive. The car took almost 4 weeks to repair and was returned to me on the 17.2.15.
On this occasion I sort legal advice, but they said if I was to reject the car, the legal battle would could be costly, if Honda didn't agree.
By this time my CRV had lost all appeal to me and I couldn't even look at in the same way. On the 9.3.15 my car broke down again. The car cut out again in dangerous circumstances and once restarted the engine management light lit up and it went into a limp mode. The AA told me not to drive the car and they would pick it up in 3hrs. I decided to drive the car to my local dealer down the motorway at 20mph in the cars limp mode.
I have given Honda an option either to replace the car OR come to a favourable solution the contribute towards a new deal than allows me to leave the CRV and enter another deal. This means I would be satisfied and it avoids all the work of a rejection.
The reason I am writing this review is because I think the public has a right to know! I have had many good Honda Cars in the past. I compared the CRV to the Kuga, X3, CX-5 and the Quashqui. I chose Honda because of the customer service and its reliability record. I paid extra for this and I think in this day and age any car can be unreliable. Consumers need to think carefully before paying this extra. The manufacture has been less than helpful as well. I developed the view recently that car brands are much alike.
Like I said I had many good reliable Hondas and please make up your own mind up. THINK before paying thousands of pounds more JUST for reliability.
