Overall reliability

Amazing but could be better!

This CRV is an overall improvement on the last, it looks have improved and it an attractive and aggressive car compared to the last.

I have owned Honda's for the last 7 years, having 9 of their cars including the Mugen type R. The CRV's interior was disappointing, its smart and practical but lacks that wow factor and most of all, my 2013 civic has lovely soft plastics!!!! why continue to use hard plastics!? HOWEVER I drove the iX35, CX-5 and the VW and the interior of the CRV is far better (but could be even more).
It feels better built than the previous CR-V and is a comfortable car, I did a little off reading in the demonstrator and it did surprisingly well (in a muddy bog down field). The drive is very smooth and quiet in the 2.2 diesel version. The steering is really light, which is not everyone's cup of tea, but I really like it.
Fuel economy was really good, I got 47mpg on a nice long motorway run. I really love the diesels engine even in 6th gear it just pulls up any hill!!!
Reliability, I have own 9 new Honda cars and a couple of used older cars and never had any problems. Hold on! the pre 2012 civic (spaceship) has a rattle and a windshield leak, the car was just under 3 years old. They took it straight in fixed the rattle and new windscreen. No problems or debate what so ever. My sister who bought a Vauxhall Corsa 1.0 eco tec! was told it's an 8 grand car, what do you expect and they could not fix her leak (it was under warranty).
This car is a definite improvement, admittedly it could be better and really dominate the market, but Honda always seem to play it safe, I think it they took a little risk, they could really dominate the market.
Finally I must say the Honda Dealer!!!! My local Honda dealer "Speedwell Honda" treats me like family, I always get the best deals and the best part exchange prices. And yes I do shop around to ensure I get the best deal. Even reaching the deal is smooth and as relaxing as possible. I did shop around for a suitable SUV and I can honestly say Honda dealers in general, partially this one, treat you like your apart of the family and really look after you.
Although the car is good, but there is many rivals out there, to me it really is the big picture, that seals the deal.
